  1. spot on dez , if anyone in the hunting game is only in it to line there pockets i have no hesitation in saying i will not help fill them pockets. there are enough packs struggling for funds and plenty of organisations that would greatly benifit from any funds they can get....... money raised in the dog game should stay and benifit the dog game....... if thats yer aim lads i wish ye the best and hope ye do well,
  2. one on donedeal lads if ye could get it carried over...... http://www.donedeal.ie/livingroom-for-sale/chesterfield-sofa-and-chair-oxblood-red/6615061
  3. have to agree with you fox hunter, seems that way, this show is obviously a money thing for the organisers......... i know where i wont be that weekend!
  4. must be taking them with a small camera shur!!!!
  5. start of year very good, back end only a few water every where. and yes got my numbers back up with the 2 young uns after loosing 2 very good terriers , both in the space of a week at least thay went working, hard game at times, the young dog is so much like on i lost in looks and drive. good stuff, you would wonder at times alright!! still, good thing ahead with the young stock so futures bright!! atb with them alli, they are looking spot on,
  6. good size fox alli........ did you have a decent season this year? you had a bad run there at one stage didnt ya??
  7. im looking for a lead on a chap called b***y smith from somewhere in wales! long shot but worth a try, i worked a terrier bred by him for a few years and would like to get in contact with him if possible, a red lakey fell dog, would be about 9 now i think.... if the story i was told is true the dog was in hunt service in his early years in wales, ive hit a wall tracing from this end......... any info greatly appriciated, pm if preferred,
  8. i dont know if this stuff is available over your way but we got this chap out to put up a fence with this x mesh, 200meters with 3 12 foot field gates on it, very very happy with the job they done, a rabbit wouldnt get in or out now and unbelieveable strong, one run of electric wire on top of 4foot mesh, last for donkeys years. comes in a nice bit cheaper than post and rail and 10 times better imo. http://www.donedeal.ie/buildingmaterials-for-sale/xfence-multi-purpose-fencing/3422792
  9. posts and sheep wire would be a pretty secure and reasonably cheap job, put two strands of lecky wire round the bottom of it about a foot off the ground and another strand 2 foot up from bottom, be a finished job then.
  10. i said the same thing when i saw that add the other day! pups available between 5-15 months, and other dogs also available.............
  11. she is a grand bitch for a bit of mooching, cheers redcharge,
  12. was wondering the same thing!! when you answer tell us what makes him the biggest terrierman, is he over 8foot tall and built like a tank or what? other than that i dont know how you would call anyone the biggest in any country.........
  13. its alot easier to harass and try ban a sport than it is to ban a necessity to control foxes with terriers.....
  14. the shows held by the hunt are fundraisers for that hunt pack, just curious as to what the intentions are for the funds raised at this show as its not held by a hunt.......
  15. I hunt terriers for sport mate.. its all about the dog to me and quality.. not about killing all the time what you do is your own business but stop saying on the WWW you dig for sport, your so called "sport" may be relatively safe for the moment but idiotic comments like that is what put it in jeopardy in the first place. how long does it take to sink in that everybody is agreeing with you in principle but you wont shut up about the odd problem having to be sorted during the OFF season........FFS get a grip will you. Not a problem for me legal to hunt a fox where im from

  17. one of the top 10 posts ever on THL! I hope your a neutral here LOL dont need anymore on the wagon.. I have never said I dont understand vermin control I just said I dont agree with it being done out of season.. just the way huntsmen in my area work.. theres an ON and OFF season were im from you earlier said vermin control was an excuse for lads with guns killing another mans sport!!!! make your mind up...
  18. mate i cant see you being here too long with your attitude, getting everyones back up isnt the best way of conducting yourself on an open forum, especially when you are misinforming people of the way terrier work is conducted...........
  19. why cant we find out who the profits from this show are going to???
