    To be honest i have not shot with open sights since i was a kid back in late 70's early 's with my dads old Diana 45 that was until few weeks ago when i got Webley Tempest...i have to admit im finding it a struggle....got to used to scopes i feel will have to do some more with open sites

    Agree with paulus here.....also as bbq is metal if you get ricochet and it hits you or a neighbour then thats not good.....if you cart get sandbag try wooded backstop

    With a little searching and alot of haggling you may be able to get a HW57 also mate for that price and if your really cheeky like myself my even be able to haggle yourself a mk1 tx lol....i love springers also mate thats all i shoot i dont do pcp's

    The lightning is ok mate....i had one and used to hunt with it all the time....not the best rifle in world but like you say you only have 150 notes you should be able to get a decent one for that price

    Im sure you can apply for FAC at 14 not 100% though....until you are 18 though you cannot buy a FAC rifle or Ammunition Upon applying for FAC you need Land to shoot on and would also advise you to join a local rifle club and spend time there letting people get to know you so when you do apply you have your experiance at rifle shooting and rifle club can vouch for you

    Depends on brand but yes....some brands are cleaner than others

    I differ from Tony(aka Phantom) on cleaning matters......i always clean barrel between diff brand of pellets....The TX is underlever same as 97 i use this for cleaning...ok not the best but does great job http://www.ebay.co.u...=item41643993a1 As my TX has anti bear trap i cock rifle and clean away till when i run swab through it comes out clean.

    Alot depends on your rifles mate.....two rifles exactly the same might shoot better with different pellets....you wont go for wrong with some of these...Bisley Superfield,RWS Superdomes,AirArms Diablo Field,JSB Exact and H&N Baracuda. Got some bara's last week and they great pellets with very few with damaged skirts.The manufacturer of these say's they suit FAC Rate rifles better but i found they worked well with TX doing 11.3 Would also sugguest that when you try diff pellets mate always clean your barrel when you change brand to be sure your getting the best from them....i would

    Most of the MTC Range mate are great...the Viper in the range is the dogs nads in my eyes better than Hawke(prob get grief for that)
