its your responsobility mate...if it's your rifle get it chrono'ed at nearest gunshop/fieldsports center mate that is a must...when buying a secondhand rifle ...even a new one its the first thing you should do....even a new rifle needs chrono'in after it had bedded in

Not being a dog man myself....a few mates are and they approach new perms with the idea of ferreting with a dog or two......they do a few sessions with the ferrets then they turn up with just the dogs speak to the owner who knowing what the lads are doing allows them with just the dogs....always stock broken like you have mentioned and always clean the lads do this in the respect of landowner and his lifestock i feel this is the most important part of new perms...always have respect for landowners...good luck with your hunt mate On getting a permission mate always do it face to face.....i

In all honesty mate you should take which ever one you feel is right for the job....or take both.....the kills are down to the shooter anyway mate....take em both and see what one suits the conditions and distance your shooting from...good luck with it buddy go get em

Its all good mate there is no bad blood here.....Only issue with engine room shots is distance the quarry can get before a bleed out.....i can understand that it is easier to hit the engine room as target area is larger but a nice well placed head shot will drop it where it stands...i have no doubt you can do it James and i look forward to seeing your shooting when you get camera -
Nice tight group there Darryl....more so that your using recoiling rifle although i find the TX very forgiving when target shooting....once again mate top shooting

They are ok mate...i do like the Turkish walnut stocks mind.....i have shot one that my mate owns it was ok but i myself would not buy one...thats not to say they are rubbish just my preferance

Im 50/50 sometimes with a mate and sometimes alone...i do get more quarry when alone though as has been said its less noise...just get yourself a rifle lamp and away you go

Some are ok but most are not.....MrMole loves em but i would rather spend a bit more and get my child a decent AirArms or Weihrauch like the saying goes buy cheap buy twice Another option would be to buy a BSA Meteor...they great rifles for young un's and well priced

Well thismorning Bird(Ray) from THL came over to mine to see if we could get a good deal on his rifle.....He owns a very nice thumbhole stock Webley Venom Sidewinder 8 shot PCP.......I have spoken to him a fair bit on the phone and as he's more of a dog man he was thinking instead of having a PCP that he only use's once in a while he wants to go back to a spinger as it makes more sence.......Anyhow i spoke to my local gunshophttp://www.fieldsportsequipe.co.uk/ on tuesday about a possible part ex for him on a HW95k.....so when Ray got here thismorning we had a brew and headed of to the shop....
