Once you have thoroughly cleaned the wound just leave it, over washing can slow healing, plus you need it to scab over to stop more air entering Disclaimer (Bloody ridiculous when you have to do this on here now :wacko: ) ......... The above advise it given for a clean infection free wound only!

Just found my old camera, it has a video function, i have done nothing all day but faff about with the bloody thing and the uploading, my head is fit to burst so you had bloody well better appreciate it Keepa.... Click on the pics to view video. How clever do i feel right now

My god, you have caused me no end of stress thus morning :laugh: I'd forgotten i had this little camera, now i cant stop playing in the garden with it, got not a bit of work done all morning But the up loading and everything else is taking forever. Then i have to try to find a way of giving a comparison of noise, the crowing may sound loud because i am near the cock, have tried to take footage from the house window so you can hear how loud at a normal distance, tried waiting for a car to go past...i think my brain might explode before the day is through Here is probably my loudest

There are signs on some fields here. Keep dogs on lead but if the livestock do challenge to let go of the dogs (words to that effect) The majority of people you read about getting killed are those who have tried to save their dogs which were on leads. It is normally the dogs the livestock go after.

Knowing Texas Wilf, they will be 'managed' deer over a vast expanse of land and still very wild. Perhaps like our large pheasant shoots here???

thanks moll thats very kind of you i will def give it some thought.i do live in a terraced house lol. if i was lucky enough to find a quiet crowing adult that someone would part with i would be more than happy to cough up a good few bob for it This is one of my boys who lives with someone else now.
