    my nuttall bitch has just started with this and we are trying to avoid surgery. I have her on the tread mill as this keeps the leg on the ground and helps retain the muscle and keep it strong. so far so good..... I have also given hydrotherapy to her..... trouble is it can be expensive unless you know someone with the equipment.

    and as they say patience is a virtue, dont give up. I have a dog that didnt go to ground until she was 3.5 plenty of time.

    Anyone who breeds a litter of pups is always at risk of losing one for one reason or another, maybe have your eye on the litter but wait until they are 6 - weeks old or older. Its quite hard to see how they are going to turn out as they change so rapidly and if they make it through to 6 weeks old then its pretty much a bet they will be ok. Good luck next time.

    Pups learn quickly especially the terrier variety take care it hasnt learnt that it gets attention by limping and is playing you.

    i use fucithalmic when its really bad, you could try bathing it with green tea thats also quite good.

    I have a bitch that gets this problem I give regular codliver oil and at times of severe out break i give her aloe vera in her food plus 5 days of low grade antibiotic and it will then clear up. The nustock looks good stuff i will give that a go.

    At the end of the day you have choices if your a terrier man you know what you want and what you will pay. If you pick the wrong thing then thats down to you or maybe you pick the right animal and then your very happy. While ever people will dwell on names and money you will always get same old same old bit like this forum.

    you will always get non working dogs at terrier shows its a fact of life, however in my experience a good judge knows his working terriers and will place them above a non working terrier any day. Isnt that what they should be looking for . If you dont show your working terriers then it is going to get left to non workers to take the places so get them in there.

    depends where you live and how far you want to travel there is a section on here that advertise shows. A lot have been postponed in the flood areas.
