  1. I dont know about everyone else but the ticks are awful this year we are using stronghold for fleas and mange then using frontline spray for the ticks. They are building immunity to this so have been advised to use advantix next month. Just wondered what everyone else is using and how bad are you finding the problem?

  3. that is really interesting thank you, it has also been suggested that it could be spikes disease. I will certainly be doing some research and consulting with my vet again.
  4. From my experience of the staffy dog its not the full staffy that causes the problem its the staffy x that is much bigger and usually very fat that cause the problem, The owners are townies that open the back door kick the dog out and let it back in 5 mins later. In our area we have had a serious problem with this type of dog. I have been attacked twice and several other people out with there dogs have been attacked. Its not the dogs but the dozy owners who says my dog is ok it just wants to say hello, doesnt have a lead and doesnt have a clue. It speaks for itself when some of us can keep pi

  6. thank you for that this bitch is nearly 4 years old and not shown any signs of this type of cramping before, this was a really bad attack this is why it looked like a fit starting. She doesnt normally get quite so excited. Its good to hear that your bitch is doing so well after all she has been through.
  7. Yesterday took my patt out for a mooch around and im assuming she got over excited as this is one of the causes of this, when we got back after id cleaned her down within 10 minutues her back end gave way her back arched up and looked as though she was going to fit. She went very cold and her eyes glazed over. I held her tightly to warm her up and hopefully to stop her damaging herself. I then put her down to try and see if there was any damage, she jumped up and running around as if nothing had happened. I spoke to our vet as she was coming out to us anyway and she said it seemed like scotti

  15. I have found that bitches talke longer than dogs, patience is a virtue, i have seen patterdale bitches 5 months old before they are completely house trained. If the pup is a little timid or on the submissive side they will urinate. Just give her some time its early days yet.
