  1. If they truly are show bred then yeah, shoot those turds in the head
  2. Those are different strains of the same type (terrier)- the reason they look different from one another is historically they were geographically isolated. Showing would be the only reason to keep a "breed" pure. "Breeds" were developed in the victorian era for dog shows. "Types" were developed by breeding the dogs best suited to their work to one another to get more workers
  3. "Breeds" are for showing- he got a hunting "type"
  4. looking good! what size do you expect them to be at maturity? what working style do den terriers possess?
  5. Good post. Another problem with expensive dogs is they are less likely to be culled if they don't work out. Instead they get sold or bred because the owner wants to recoup their investment rather than be out the money. Fact: Money and working dogs don't mix!
  6. My experience has been that a started dog/bitch will maintain working drive if altered, but if they are neutered/spayed before they "turn-on", altering can have a negative affect on their working drive.
  7. what does he pull out of the tyre mate?? That was an opossum. Probably north americas least exciting furbearer LOL but they are considered a pest by livestock owners because they carry a bacteria that can be lethal to cattle and horses. that bitch was more of a coon specialist, but took out A LOT of 'possums in her day. Really the only interesting thing about 'possums is that they are north americas only marsupial.
  8. Lmao @ 2 hrs on a mill!!! And what could possibly be wrong with getting a dog in the best shape possible before putting them in a physically challenging situation. Lazy people don't own mills, lazy people think a walk around the block means "fighting fit". Most people who own mills have a lot invested and take their dogs seriously.
  9. Dog looks good, but I'm more interested in that badass looking truck!
  10. Yeah, she was a first cross EBT X JRT. I have another one, but no pics of her yet.

  12. Its obviously not the dog in the avatar since the op refers to a pic with 3 dogs in it!
  13. I have a dog that will ignore house cats, but will kill feral cats. I guess a smart dog knows the difference!
  14. LOL @ "Reble boy" any good rebel should at least know how to spell it
  15. I'd be willing to bet that most terriers do their best work between 2-5 years old
  16. I think a chihuaua X JRT cross sounds retarded, but how can you knock it really when it outperforms JRT (at catching rabbits )!? I wonder what quality the chihuaua X posses that the JRT lacks? speed LOL? drive??? let's see a pic of this rabbinator
  17. I use the Duke coilsprings for coons here in Kansas too. I also cleaned the dog/trigger up with a file. I've even stair-step the trigger on the pan for two settings
  18. nice pics. I like those old machines! what exactly are the machines doing? nice dogs and good work on those rats too.
  19. A bit of flirtpole, spring pole, handwalking/roadwork will improve a terrier's performance in the field greatly. I feel it's is the owner's obligation to condition a dog for any kind of work- other wise it's doing a disservice to the dog.
  20. only problem with EBT have is you lot puting them and pit bulls to every bitch you can .A full patterdale terrier or any working terrier as alway done the job for me so why f**k the breed you lot brag nuttall but you are undoing his lifes work with you lot and the KC the true working terrier dont stand a chance it will be you that is crying in the end when all you can get is bull cross what ever terriermen are you then i dont want to be one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ha
