  4. The most commonest Owl in Britian.............The Teet. How about a Woodpecker ??
  5. Well done to you both, i'm gonna keep an eye out in the future to see if any of them get on the telly.
  6. Experience counts for everything, you can't buy it. But someone who has it can share it, sounds like this guy did that for you. Good story and i'm sorry for your loss. Arch.
  7. he was great wasnt he,,,,,, he had some great quotes. "We talk about it for twenty minutes and then we decide I was right."
  8. "I'm not the best Football Manager in the world, but i'm definitely in the top one" Old big head.
  9. I must get me arse in gear, iv'e got nothing to plant, never mind planted. No seed Potatoes chitting, no Onions, nothing. Might try and sort something out this weekend, coz i wont be working.
  10. ah right, it's a 12v battery and the charger says 14.6v output.....will I have knackered the battery now then? I left it plugged in for about 20 minutes. cheers Quite possibly i'm afraid. You may have "Cooked" it. You'll have to try it and see, then use the car charger for now. Is the Battery a 7ah ?? I think the Nightsearcher uses them, if it is they are about £17 to replace. If you lived nearer iv'e got one you could have FOC Arch.
  11. 240v or 230v shouldn't make any difference, 230v is the new European standard. Look at the output voltage on the charger and see what it says on that. If your charging a 12v battery up and the charger says 12v on it, then it may be faulty. If it says 14v you'll damage the battery. If however the charger says a lesser voltage it will still charge, just take longer. We use 9v,12v,14v batteries at work, but use the same 14v charger for all of them. HTH Arch.
  12. December 2008. Thats when Ossie walked into our lives. He happened to be a Lurcher, so i try to give him what i think a Lurcher needs. Sometime i do, mostly i don't/can't. I liked the Lurcher type so much, we got another. We only rabbit, so the ban makes no difference. I've got a few Farms to hunt on and try to make the best of it. Arch.
  13. Well, well, well. Who would have thought ?? Well done Ireland, the better team won on the day, no dought about that. England never looked like winning, to much fancy rugby again instead of the hard graft required to suck in the defence, then go wide and then do the fancy sh*t. Some of Englands offloads were laughable, why not hold onto the ball, recycle it and then go again ?? Ireland were really up for the game, it looked like England thought they just had to turn up and they would win it. Well done again to Ireland, and well done England on winning the Championship.
  14. Right then me again.......... Ooh ooh ooh what a game instore for tomorrow. Iv'e managed to shift my standby, so no worries about missing the game this week. Only one team can do the Grand slam, but i don't think they will. Ireland away was always going to be the showdown, and boy, are those Irish lads gonna be up for it. I think England's game last week was a wake up call and may help them, but i think Ireland will win. My heart says England, but my head says Ireland. We will see. Be close, one score between them. Come on ENGLAND........... Oh, one more thing. Do you think this
  15. Whould any insurance's on the dogs be invalid if they were not kept up to date with thier jabs ?? We get ours done
  16. Thats right mate, all the day time top coursing dogs originated from southern England. c.n,s dogs would never have been breed if it wasnt for a man from upshire. and seagul was breed from southern dogs. so almost every dog comes from southern stock! All you fellas up north done is refine them a bit! i thought merlin and eve came from the midlands ,, licestershire There you go, good enough for me..........
  17. Got told today one of our Apprentice's had a week off work with "Growing pains". Mind you, one lad had a sickie with a very nasty "In-growing eyelash"........I kid you not.
  18. Good news. I'd do the same if i had to. My dogs are part of our family. All the very best for her.
  19. Bottled mine up on Sunday. Seven 750ml bottles and still a little left, tasted good. Might give it a try soon. Any ideas on what to do with the rest of it ?? Someone mentioned Cider. Dry or sweet, still of fizzy. Anything else i can do to the leftovers ??
  20. Just as important is what you sleep on. When i camp i sleep on an Alpkit inflatable mat. http://www.alpkit.com/sleeping-mats They make good Sleeping bags aswell. Keeps the cold from the ground sapping all your body heat.
  21. I like Brian Moore as a commontater. Him and Eddie Butler make a good pair. One thing BM does know about is the front row, which 99% of the refs do not. He might be a bit biased but he tells it how it is IMO, instead of fannying around. England still on for the Grand Slam, just. Poor game, England were only just the better team on the day. Will need to up thier game next Saturday, that is a fact.
