Like ones always says some talk shite that true enough then there's those with real knowledge through experience usually born in to runners ,there's plenty of pretenders I suppose that ain't Neva blessed the track bends or straights Neva mind schooled youngsters on a Wednesday evening coming in from school jam piece do only a few yds ta track good old days gleaning the knowledge from the very best of men and quite a few women. Ii suppose there's those off us that have generations of family members that keep or kept runners some whips track coursing others greys the pretenders are easily seen -

why a ped ?. A top working ped will help to retain stamina and running ability in the first generation plus vigour. F1s bred this ways will give more scope for working animals in my view. Atb bunnys. what line of ped whip you looking at ?. Maybe banatay or moonlake all depends on what's doing what.i believe there's a good one down on the fens we will see.atb bunnys. -

Seen this dog run, he was like shit off a shovel his dam (home bird) through alot of flying machines. I had one out of this breeding but he turned out to be abit on the bully side (bully in stature & bully in nature he cost me £300 in a vet bill after ragging a west island white terrier & had to say goodbye http://www.whippet-data.co.uk/cgi-bin/geneal.pl?op=tree&index=15386&gens=5&db=bwra.dbw yeah people speak highly of him, that cross must of clicked, shame about yours, s o b and kin are on Stocktonwrc.Got a son of s o b (lurcher) real friendly with dogs, he inherited a go -

Lots of the non ped said have good staying power ,considering they mainly whipp and grey recovery good also ,seen lots of them oldies run wfrom wishey was right back from strings to lures scratch racing was my favourite to whatch bilko running way behind scratch giving lighter animals crazy starts to pip, them on the line lol lots of them bilko stock were OK in the field also good memories atb bunnys -
It's been done and lots more been done on fallow ,and when one considers off the hill red hinds not much if any than good fallow down here ,there's some good lines a still going strong in good hands nearly has old has the coursing stock ,these lines are very very capable of double figures single of things ,s has for running roe daytime that extra running gears that the saluki can give his always a plus.saluki bull greys been in these neck of the woods has far back has the seventies ,like has the bull greys and the collie bull greys nothing new just different animals some from new blood very f

Yas right in thinking it's that fine balance and maybe third forth generation the unwanted traits would be bred out by this time but getting that runner with that terrier temp and pain threshold does take time to get high percentages per litter .such his livestock ,atb bunnys.

shady I see where you going here but it the balance with the saluki in the xs using a animal bred mainly for daytime running fen or field for lamping etc of course they won't compare to lots of othe types for general Lurcher work ,but that's not to say there ain't a good ones out there .depending how one goes about there business preban there WA those that needed and wanted very clean carcasses not knocked about etc clean kills ,has for foxes the bull xes don't go amiss with a drop of quality Wheaton hardens them off for those filthy dirty wet cold nights when the action has slowed down oh be

a dozen runs his warmindg the dog through of course if pre ban its reds are larger edible this can be seen has decent stuff but a few runs on the rabbis ain't no gauge and in no way a test for something that's got a good tank on it saluki in a little drop helps any Lurcher type ten fold the breed been used fa forty yrs plus to get us where we are today coursing types match ta any xs bull types cur types beddie types the full lot that little bit goes along ways,fa the everyday and night time moocheritshas we once used ta say it's good ta know we have the engine beneath the hood.atb bunnys.

It's a good topic ray ,and temperament his the be all end all in a working type and any other for that matter.we see this with our jukels and those that are round noisey kids and family life from welps can only benefit from this environment ,those odd bad uns are either poorly bred or environment socialisation etc.i have seen a witnessed untrustworthy types and of those it was there environment which was most likely for this reason ,poor rough handling has welps atb bunnys.

billhardy replied to springfield's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
See go five seasons then from out blue start stalking and picking runs etc, I suppose the best has been and gone from a five son animal but one can understand ones frusration when it begins when they not done a lot.could be likely in all events the collie used in the make up those sheep trialling types are all eye creep stalk stalk creep fecking will come through if not the first gen it'll bite in the ause in the next lol.atb bunnys. -

Seen them yap open out ,just prior to catching long ears funny creatures at times some animals also seen saluki xes do same I would not think this trait just goes with collie types .seen bull xes yap on heavy teeth no minerals seen bull types that like to brawl prefer the out and out killing animal job done in a moment or two and looking fa next ,,I believe that if one wants ta chew the fat ,,there's very few if any perfect animal they all have flaws even good animals.hence we always looking ta improve.yapping a pet hate of mine Cana abide it in edible type or pest contolling animal .atb bunny -
. I wonder who bred him .atb bunnys

Did he find that stud non ped whippet atb bunnys

there was umpteen bred from the Reece lines and I seen a few work a bitch stayed in my memory for her gameness and grit and pain threshold the only down side to her she was lightly built for a killing animal of numbers. But she was a good sort, atb bunnys.

. I see it like this the man may do what he desires with his welps ,gift sells who really cares ,what some should think this his suppose to be a working dog bird etc site we seem to have an influx on this site that if one squires a said animal its there for the full turm ,it's a case of make doing with lots on here heart strings attachments etc. Ta me if one dun a click a animal it's gone either rehoused culled etc. Livestock bred fa performance his just that one begets a true bond when it's earned over several seasons of graft.like I was always taught and it holds one in good stead a good
