i have a soft spot for collie crosses but on preban hares prefered saluki lurcher cross collie lurcher as opposed to a 3/4 grey/1/4 collie which i have owned and seen a fair few run. found the saluki collie lurcher better in the wind department and better feet while retaining bidability. these dogs were run on big open fields ie wheat stubble fields.

its through word of mouth joel she keeps a dark egg laying strain of welsummer. same with anything if in doubt dont purchase. ive kept chickens 20 years so if i see anything i dont like i just walk.

what do you want to hatch?i might have space for 1 broody to hatch some eggs for you. I'm not entirely sure mate, have you any decent fertile eggs knocking about spare? ive not gnipper a fox wiped out most of my welsummer hens and the cockeral. the light sussex are young birds yet im only going to breed of them next year. im picking up some welsummer hatching eggs from preston she also has cream legbar and araucana hatching eggs £1.00 per egg. hopefully i will have the birds sitting tight in the brooding shed in 2 weeks. so give me a shout if you want some hatching whatever breed you dec

i have tried it joel. they were fine while sitting. when the chicks hatched thats when the problems started. hens started squabbling etc. in my case found it better to have one hen per clutch other people may have had different experiences.

no charlie i will seperate them put them on dummy eggs and when there sitting tight put some fertile eggs under them.light sussex bantams make cracking broodys usually hatch some eggs every year.

netrigger and albert 64 make quality nets at a good price. look on the pinned section about purse nets in the ferreting section.
