must agree with fox lad dogs/bitches should be split whatever the breed this doesn't seem to happen with terriers? -
wasting your time not quick enough lol.

dont loose heart just yet damodogs ,a few dog men are talking at the minute about a new race strictly for LURCHERS no saturated hound types ,purely working type lurchers.

[quiste name=damodogs" post="3651273"ittimestamp="1400962781]Just a quick question, has a traditional type lurcher ever won the master McGrath? no is the answer to your question and it never will EVER.

Ireland Minerock Harrier Hunt Club Dog Show

will the lurchers be split dogs/bitches ? -
Disappointing to see terriers and hounds separated dogs/bitches and not lurchers , good show been there before and always a good good turn out of lurchers ,a crowd of us would normally travel with a good few lurchers but you cant put them all in the same class together (similar type dogs) ,long way to travel for one class plus truthfully you cant judge a dog against a bitch ,not kicking off at anyone but between travelling paying in racing and showing it can be an expensive day , and you'd like to think you'd be getting equal treatment to the other classes

A propper winters day that would take your life but it didnt stop barry and his team running up and down the field trying hard to give us all a good day out with our dogs ,and that they did ,thanks again barry ,joe, and the rest of the crew a happy new year to you all looking forward to the year ahead ,ged.

agree with most of the above,if your flushing to lurchers speeds not that important, pure prey drive would be important i have small russells that are bullet proof every bit as good as the leggy type or most fells which i also have, if your not flushing to lurchers ,first cross beddy/whippet will flush and catch ,hunted with some real good ones atb.

Ireland Racing Winners To Be Measured At Birr?
gedro8888 replied to AlbertJ's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
THANK GOD the hunting season has started . -
We had a great day yesterday. Lovely weather, great field, overall it was a good turnout, despite a few familiar faces missing. Good atmosphere and the rings were busy all day. Pity about a particular group of people, trying their hand (literally) at relieving people of their personal possessions - not just this show, but unfortunately for most of the southern shows, it's a shame cars have to be locked up and people have to keep tabs on all their stuff, if only this didn't happen, it'd make for a better day. Should've brought a notebook with me for all the tips and advice and good contacts

must say had a great day ,would totally agree with aslan very disappointed with the support from the south hard to understand ,fair play to all our good friends up north dedicated bunch of dog people who always support a good cause , thought the judges done well not an easy job and always open to stick but somebody has to do it ,im sure john shaw feels differently about the 32 counties whippet judge lol ,some result well done and well deserved and lovely to see blue 999 and 998 back with bear after nearly losing him recently (great vet choice guys) , well done again dave and crew, oh and d

Dave sorry to hear about bear, just to let you know i had the identical problem a year ago with a whippet ,he also had very simular treatment ,never got to the bottom of the ilness(i.e how he picked it up) but he recovered 100% ,hope you have the same end result atb, ged. -
