  1. Nothing you can do about them mate. I used to live in the new forest and that place was heaving with the c**ts. Some dogs seem to get more than others but really all you can do is get a decent tick remover and look over the dogs (and ferrets) every few days.
  2. Get on ebay and find diatomacious earth. No active ingredients so it dont smell or polute at all. It kills all insects by desication (drying them out). The important thing when using it is to keep the ferret and cage dry so the insects dont have the chance to rehydrate. Kills fleas in minutes.
  3. erm, dogmagic are you grooming dances? Pmsl! If only you knew how much more youve still to do! Still, at 18 and 3/4 i was a gobby little oik who thought i knew it all as well.
  4. Golf course rabbits are fast as and they stop for nothing! They know exactly where home is and they go for it flat out! You need a dog thats fast enough to cut in front of them and turn them back out onto the green. THEN the dogs got half a chance. What i think wilf meant is that if your using a young inexperienced dog you need to pick your runs. If you see a rabbit thats only 10 yards from cover dont bother slipping cos he will just learn that rabbits cant be caught. You want a nice dark, windy night. Preferably with a bit of light rain and walk into the wind so they cant smell you coming. Yo
  5. All the pups iv had have been 6 weeks or older but they have all been on raw diet from the word go. There is always a bowl of kibble in the kitchen in case they want more but it lasts for months because the raw is enough. Chicken is good and easiest for them to deal with but red meat is important too in order to balence the diet out. Also they do need a sourse of calcium so make sure they get a bit of bone. The occaisional boiled egg is good. So is tins of fish (sardines, tuna, kippers). As has been said not in brine. The tins of fish in tomatoe sauce or oil are fine.
  6. Before a tick has had its meal they look like tiny black crabs. Some say spiders. They sit at the end of long stems of grass etc and wait for their next host to brush past then grab on and crawl about till they find a spot they like to attach and start feeding. It can take several hours of crawling about before they attach tho. When they do it is often around the ears and neck or inside top of the front legs. Frontline should sort them out when they start to feed.
  7. If you know theres a rabbitin the bush then wait till the dogs round the other side and give the bush a kick! What x is your dog? If its a thin skinned type/ smooth coat etc it will be hesitant to go in the spikey stuff and you cant blame it. A good terrier or spaniel is what you need for bolting the bushbound bunnys. Iv got a patterdale and a beagle x jrt. The lurchers have learned their part in the team and they position themselves round a bush waiting for the bolt.

    Pasta?

Im looking for somewhere in the northwest that does pasta by the sack if anyone can help please?
  9. At 5 months old he is only a baby mate. He is nothing like mature enough for anything other than play. His little brain, bones and muscles will all still be weak. If you want to take him ferreting (to nets) then by all means do it but dont let him chase yet. By the end of the winter i might consider deliberately leaving one or two holes unnetted so he has a chance of a chase but expect him to miss any bolters. You will never f**k a dog up by entering it late but you will f**k every single one up by entering it to early.
  10. the chav type? your an idiot, not all bullx owners are chavs. ignorant swine.... f**k off. I didnt say all bull x owners are chavs. A lot of them are tho. Try reading what i actually DID say you c**t. Calling me an idiot without even properly reading my post.
  11. ANY dog CAN do charly. Some WANT to and some dont. The classic charly dog is the bull x owned by a chav who is in it cos the police took away his pitbull type. Even pure whippets CAN do charly. Most wont but there are/was a few about with a bit of fire in their belly what loved a charly. Can a collie grey do charly. Yes. Iv seen um do it. Iv owned um. Saluki in there too will add stamina. I dont see why not. Shame its banned really.

  13. Leave her in overnight. The swelling goes down after a few days, maybe a week. So yes it will bring her out of season and may or may not get her pregnant. I certainly wouldnt leave her in there any longer than that tho. The mating process is a bit violent in ferrets with the hob grabbing her by the neck and dragging her about all over the cage before doing the deed. In fact it is this process that stimulates her to be receptive and ensures that 1) she gets pregnant and 2) she comes out of season. An hour or 2 is plenty really but i give mine an overnight stay to make sure. 3-5 days of that wou
  14. They must of turned out shit because if they were any good typp would of made sure it was all over the countrymans and we would all know there good!
  15. Terrible thing to have to deal with kay, so sorry. Wasnt long ago your mum lost one either was it? I hope the pup turns out to be a cracker. xxx Showaddywaddy you are a first class c**t.
  16. Smart water is something that is used in the security industry. Usually in banks and cash transit vehicles etc. If you set off an alarm it also sets off a "fire extinguisher" system but the water coming out is mixed with an infra red die what shows up under infra red lights and it cant be washed off. The police still have to catch the criminal before they can test him. Also im not sure its possible or feasable to use in a back garden.
  17. Arnica tablets will help take the bruising down mate. Other than that its just a waiting game same as when we smack ourselves.
  18. I cant say i like the new lookmuch neither but i suppose i will get used to it.
  19. Last night my girlfriend and I had an in depth conversation about giving birth. She said to me, "Men will never know that feeling. To experience pain, confusion and a strange sort of delight all at once"

  20. Your going to have a million answers on this one mate! Lol! If it were me making the choice i would say collie greyhound. Iv got one and he mullers rabbits! Iv also got a whippet with 1/8th beddy. He is only young so i cant really judge him yet but he shows good promise. Look at it this way: A collie gives a dog brains (in theory), a greyhound gives a bit of height and plenty of speed and a whippet gives acceleration and speed. So a collie whippet greyhound would be perfect (again in theory). However if your planning to work it hard with all day ferreting sessions followed by 5-6 hours a night
  21. Killing intruders used to be illegal but i heard somewhere thats its been made legal now over here and i heard about someone getting away with stabbing a burglar to death so maybe let um jump down other side of wall onto your ground first?! Lol!
  22. A nice dollop of cement along the top of the wall and set broken bottles into it. Nice long thin shards. Let the neighbours know so they dont hurt themselves and so they can help keep a look out. CCTV and motion triggered floodlights cant be a bad idea. If you see the car on a site somewhere you know where to look if the dogs do go missing. What you do with it other than that is up to you! Lol!
