  5. Well my son...Witnessed a quad topple... Also witnessed a car hit a quad... Nova GTE boy racing round the lanes... 12 mm ply would have been fire wood and dogs dead. Dogs were fine There are some cheap second hand triple Ali boxes about... (Exchange and mart)As the money boys seem to be buying the plastic boxes... Ours is tig welded onto the rack... Not so shiny if you hammerite them black... I do own wooden triples too ..had them 15+ years for the back of the van... Each to there own ...
  6. Great bit of kit ... Most of my friends use Ali boxes on there quads... Me included... Warm... Dry... And if you roll the quad they are safe...

  8. i was once sat on a t bar watching gte course a fox over maize stubble.. without a dog !.... he put three bends into it then clamped it lol remember that day gte ? so yea they are a v handy tool
  9. I'm sorry but if a terrier is working and is as fit as it can be... It should not be popping out for a breather.... What if said terrier was at 9 ft in hard ground your half way down and the terrier pop out for a breather.... Game will move dig on ... And now your looking at a possible deeper dig ...Once I could forgive.... Second time I wouldn't .... Each to there own I suppose but to me that is not what I call a terrier and would not care to keep one
  10. Digging him once every three four weeks is doing the dog no favours....put more work infront of him or you will never know what the dog is about.... Maybe it's you that doesn't like the dog getting bitten up ? Does the dog take a lot of stick ? All mine start hard at the start of the season but routine work soon settles them....
  11. I have a 18" dog that's 8 year old now... V leggy he just tucks them in and gets on with it... He isn't suitable for all earths... But he gets dug regular...
  12. Tag along with a lad/ lads who know what they are doing... That way you can be taught the right way of doing thing.... It's easy to spoil a young dog and disheartening for yourself if things are not done correctly ... All the best for the future

  17. Harkila pro hunter active... Light weight breathable gortex.... 5 year guarantee... You can jet wash them and it doesn't come through... Not cheap but they WORK... The jacket is the business too
  18. I have had a few problems with the new box... 8 ft dig broke through at 5 ft.... Dog baying at 3 ft then numbers start to rise quickly as if bolting.. Dog still under my feet baying all the time ! I'm not the only one this has happened too... Annoying more than anything..
  19. Ask your self why he is getting rid of a 2 yr old and a 15 month old when the season has just started... I personally wouldn't feed them all summer and then sell them at the start of the season... Perhaps there is a legit reason though..
  20. Dug there for last 10 or so years with the hunt...it's like anywhere hard and easy places.
