  3. We rear black necks... Pure Kansas .... Japanese greens... Polish x manchester ....Reeves x common.... And White red leg partridge... French red legs.... English greys.... Prices won't be out till the harvest is in.... Gas and feed prices went up again this season also grain is about to go through the roof.... A rotavirus vaccine will be out next season too and will put another 4p per chick on..that's based on 5,000 laying hens....prevention is cheaper than cure...

  6. Right then.... A judge did pull out a week before the show and Gary rang me to see if I could get a judge at short notice and Unfortunatley I couldn't .... So what do you do have no judge at all ???? From your post whippetwondet I think you have a personal grievance with the club.... But I can assure you some ( I have not hunted or dug with all of them ) work there terriers hard .... 3 days stopping and three days hunting ...and digging on a Sunday Do all the lads and lasses at the nwtlc hunt and dig ???? 7. I looked at the videos on the mammut... It sounds very loud... Can you mute it ?
  8. I had my b&f box's nicked out of my van at a BBQ ... And was wondering do I stick with what I know or try the ortovox ? I have read good right ups on them but there seems to be 3 diff types... Anyone used b&f and ortovox and can compare them ?
  9. 10 ish digs in the first season... Depends on how easy.. how much stick the dogs take... But I do find it invaluable to use a t bar during them digs... As it helps me to find out it's work style .... Most decent lads know there ground and earths so it's quite easy to find a slightly more testing place if needs be...
  10. I have a 1/2 grey 1/4 whea 1/4 bull... Stands 24-25 inch 70 lb ish and does everything I ask of him... He Can mark a fox... And can mark a terrier to ground...draw if I required but don't... Catch rabbit.. Quick enough for the odd hare and deer if it was legal... He is no world beater but for a all rounder he suits me... I won't put pictures up so please don't ask .
  11. Bush through with the dogs... They will usually tree themselves... But have dug too a couple as well.... Cage traps as these will catch other stuff too . A catering tin of sardines/ tuna with holes put in and tied to the back of the trap works well... And will last all season
