  1. The bank of Scotland will be backed up from London (Bank of England)setting interests rates etc if you ever get independence so really London will still be pulling the strings, hardly going it alone is it. Anyway at the end of the day the SNP have really given people who hunt in England a better chance of getting a repeal sticking their noses in. So roll on English votes for English laws. But I'm afraid in Scotland it's looking like you will be stuck with the ban.
  2. Border lad what currency would the SNP use if they ever got their independence?
  3. Mr Farage has no problem of immigrants coming to the UK as long as they contribute and do not put more strain on our resources and abuse our welfare system. I know it's only a small percent that do and more money is lost through massive tax dodging but everything adds up. Farage is at lot less racist and bigoted than most of the SNP members, and while I'm at it oil doesn't replenish itself. Or I would of been out of work a long time ago.
  4. so Border lad let me get this straight oil will never run out and replenishes itself and there is a never ending supply? Have you worked in the oil industry?
  5. Sounds like your all sorted then really lol.
  6. Norway also have very high taxes and high prices, and are struggling with the fall in oil prices as much as the UK and the rest of the world are. Oil will not last for ever and you can't run a country on whiskey sales. and golf. Yes there are still a lot of fields still to be drilled West of Shetland for example but you shouldn't but all your eggs in one basket.
  7. The amendment was to test the water to see what the SNP would do, and she took the bait hook line and sinker. Now Cameron will wait until the English vote for English law comes in and will then go for a full repeal of the hunting law when there is more chance of winning it. That's what I'm hoping anyway.
  8. Typical jocks anything to upset the English.
  9. My apologises I was travelling and missed the news.
  10. How do we know this for definite? Not saying it's wrong just want to know where it is stated.

  14. Nice one TC I will give it a go.
  15. Just looking for some advice, when is the best time to fish estuaries I've always thought it was 2 hours before and 2 hours after high tide is this correct? Is it worth spinning at the beginning of a flood tide at quite low water? I will be fishing the Teign Estuary and also the Dart. Any advice is extremely welcome thanks.
  16. I have just paid £337 to have my dog sewn up after he had a nasty gash on the underside of his chest. They also charged me an extra £9 on top of £337 for a lampshade collar which he hasn't worn because he can't reach the stitches anyway. I will be insuring my dog from now on and returning the lampshade collar for a refund.
  17. hunting with dogs is the perfect way to control pest species. Fit healthy pests get away unfit unhealthy pests are caught and killed instantly and humanely. An unfit fox is more likely to turn on farmers stock or game birds due to not be able to hunt as effectively as a fit fox. Shooting foxes or any pest species can and very often does result in a misplaced shot so the animal can suffer a long lingering death. As for poisoning this can lead to other non pest species being poisoned from feeding on the dead poisioned carcass. The ban costs tax payers thousands of pounds a year to try and police
  18. Use of dummies as the OP stated and as I stated will miss more to start with but comes good in the end. That's just the way I do it but I'm far from an expert mine catches fine it's bringing them back that's an issue.
  19. At the end of the day it's about getting out there and giving it a go, nothing's set in stone and if it works for you keep doing it.
  20. For what it's worth I'm with Casso on this one, if the dogs got the desire it will catch in the end. I have said before I don't walk upto squatters but slip the dog from a distance yes he missed a few more in the early days but now if he's slipped he trusts me that's theres something at the end of the beam and his style is to stalk up to it take it out of its seat or if it bottles he had a run.
  21. All-terrain I'm not doubting he know his wheatens x im just curious in the way each x works. I like bull terriers and been around them a lot and can see what they bring to a lurcher. I have never seen a Wheaten or Wheaten lurcher work but what I've heard and read they have the same mentally as a bull terrier and was just curious if they work in similar ways.
  22. Spanielsandhawks can you elaborate, what are the differences?
