  5. Hate the stuff but it's unavoidable around me...my bitch goes under or through...a lot of the paddocks have wire and hedges or over-hanging trees so jumping isn't always an option.. Hopefully a speedy recovery for your dog! Atb sesku
  6. Genuine working type Bedlingtons are far smaller than their KC cousins,at times, thus the lads seeking a Beddy to put over their Whippet etc.,use the larger types to gain the height needed, plus lads with genuine workers are often reluctant to use an earth dog for small lurcher production, there are a few lads with the bigger Bedlingtons, there are some big-uns,that are honest about their terriers working lifestyle and use them in lurcher production,my tallest Beddy is less than 15",many types,KC or hybrid are 19" plus,a 19" plus mutt would seem a more logical choice,id go with a smaller option ov
  7. Shame no one can kennel the pup for you till you get sorted...hope you find a good home for the pup..atb sesku
  8. as dadd we all no what boys are like.......only thing is the lads of today are getting worse.....that's what scares me.... Are they though? Old people always seem to say that about everything lol. Don't know if you remember about a girl who lives on my road no older than 15 talking about sex and having the implant as me n my sister walked back from shop. She's 16 now and her boyfriend is 24, the thing is the girl of 16 is also abit slow. Whole family are abit slow and f***ing dirty slobs but what's really weird is how they all seem strangely obsessed with sex. Anyway they told their neighbo
  9. Think that Rillington strain came from that way, they were originally earthdogs. I know a lad who genuinely uses beddys for earthwork these he keeps have fell blood in the mix. I asked him if hed ever used his digging dogs on a whippet or greyhound and he said there too small for use in producing lurchers. Which I thinks a real shame cus most pure beddys that are used are either massive bushing dogs only or kc stuff there doesn't seem to be that many beddys being dug to ..of course they will be out there but surely the earth dogs would be 1st choice for breeding than the bigger bushing type/k
  10. photo bucket..or as I do it on laptop resize the pics then upload on to here.
  11. surely the guy in the pub knows of someone?
  12. It's a fecking nightmare lads...The Internet is changing the way kids socialise/interact with friends and strangers. .All kids nowadays have android phones etc and the stuff they get up to is scary...like tomo says if you're too strict they rebel. The wife took our eldest to docs at 15 when she started seeing her 1st boyfriend...but what's the alternative? Scary sh*t eh
  13. There's a spot within a mile from my house. .about an acre of woodland..an old earth big place. It looks like a bomb has landed there. Ruined in the last few years..too much effort to back fill? There's idiots in all walks of life but to me leaving holes open is just pure stupidity...it's like a football team destroying the goals and digging up the pitch..only to realise a week later they now have nowhere to play..idiots.
  14. Anyone using the beddy x got any pics of the beddys used for breeding? Don't see many about other than the kc type..my wifes grandad worked a couple of beddy whippet out of digging dogs. This was 30-40 years ago..he's passed away now so can't ask him but im sure he said the beddys were bred in the north east?..atb sesku

  16. My pup yapped a few times when chasing a rabbit and also when chasing another dog up to about 7 months old. Most of the lads on here said she would still be yapping as an adult. I said she wouldn't. She is silent now. glad to hear it gaz..would you have kept her if she still yapped?

  19. I'll never understand the need to show a young dog an older lurcher working rabbit on lamp.. foxes pre ban yeah but if the pup not up to rabbit job wait a couple month till its ready...I wouldn't expect any breed of lurcher not to be frustrated watching another work..jmo atb sesku
