  1. if you search through last years posts, you'll see I left kitts, jills, snipped hobs, catrated hob all in a court together, to see if "kitts" were eaten, none was, that may have been true years ago, when ferreters fed their ferts on bread and milk, you could understand ferrets, hobs or jills eating the young, but nowdays I doubt it, the castrated hob became more of an "aunty" and helped out big time with the kitts, the two snipped hobs stayed well away from everyone, knowing they wernt wanted, and all the spare jills slept together, but only you know your own ferts...
  2. when they are feeding adequately themselves
  3. go for it mate, you'd have to be pretty damn good to eradicate the rabbits totally, and if you did, the empty warrens would soon take on those youngsters from other areas

    Daft

more likely they are ANPR vans, rather than speed cameras, but they just piss behind the van
  8. do you have access to transport?, as if not, how will you humanely dispatch a caught fox at your nans garden, unless you use the above
  9. Exactly right. We used a vasectomised hob on our jills 2 years ago & they all fell pregnant. The vet who carried out the operation offered to do it again but he said that, as in humans the severed tubes have been known to some how rejoin in rare occasions resulting in litters of young. Still have 2 of the "accidents" and they work like demons. highly unlikely the tubes rejoin, more likely, the hob was put with jills to soon after the op, after being snipped, they are still holding sperm in the tubes, which can fertalise a jill, snipped hobs should be kept away from jills for a good

  12. looks like the thing broke, and someone glued the legs back on in the wrong place
  13. sorry for being level headed here, but all I have read is "here say" and comments that the investigation was ongoing from 2yrs back, comments from yourself that you were flying a bird to seagulls?, what species, as they are not all classed as pests, it would be a bit like me killing a non pest species as a pestie, and getting done for it, I'd only have myself to blame, Im not implying thats the case here, but quoting facts, rather than heresay, would give a better picture, rather than everyone jumping on the bandwagon, without any deffinnate proof

  16. what size gauge is the mesh on the trap?, if you can fit a biro pen through the mesh, then a mouse can get through too, and therefore pinching the bait, without hitting the trigger plate
  17. good to see a bigger hutch/court, one point however, I would of extended the roof, so you have a 6 inch overhang all round, or the inside will get soaked with the first drop of rain
  18. quote;Try to send me home, you shitheads. I do love angry women
  19. quote;I'm totally new to ferreting so any help would be appreciated you and the ferts can learn together, seriously, any fert will go down a burrow, Im sure if they have been used on rats, rabbits wont stand a chance, its ok asking for advice, but if someone says, no, they will be shite, would that stop you from taking them out and seeing for yourself??, get out in the field, put them down a hole, see first hand what they are like, then you can post saying either, best workers ever, or they wouldent do this that or the other, remembering they can only bolt rabbits, if the rabbits are
  20. Ive just read through 7 pages, of typical "send them home" posts, no one has thought to mention the fact that poles, unlike uk citizens, cant claim benefits, they have to work, or go homeless or hungary, the british employer knows this, and can therefore offer shit wages, which an english guy would laugh at, yet a pole, grab with both hands, I know lots of english people, a lot are lazy benefit types, that blame everything, on everyone else barring themselfs, and take great delight on telling you how much money they are claiming off the state, all my foriegn friends are workers, our firm
  21. doing a search, top left of the hunting life screen, you'll see that second from the right says "search" click on that, then type in what you want to search for in the pop up box, it'll bring up every post thats got that word in it... but yes, totally illegal to use on pest species, only as a burrow collapser, and as theres no way of proving that a burrow is empty of ANY SPECIES OF ANIMAL, your screwed if you use it
  22. set a couple of mouse traps there alongside the rat trap, as already stated, your find if its mice rather than rats
  23. I think that looks the mutts nutts, maybe a deeper drawer so the locator will fit in there too,or does it already and as stated, a different lock, I'd have one
