Yeah 'Lone Furrow' and 'The Hunting man' are on there. Watched them both a few times but according to Wikipedia a third documentary was filmed called 'A Way out of Walsall' about Plummer training lads to box. Searched all over but cannot find it anywhere. Thanks for the reply. Sam

Does anybody have the Barry Cockroft documentary 'A way out of Walsall' about D. Brian Plummer training lads to box ?? (I know he'd be ya last choice as a mentor..) Been searching for it for ages with no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction it'd be greatly appreciated and if anyone has a copy I'll pay for it. Thanks, Sam.

He certainly talked some shite that's for sure but I loved his books and although it's clear the bloke was a bit of a numpty he has always fascinated me to be honest. One of his books he said he had a terrier bitch that hunted a roe for 5 hours and kept catching it and he kept releasing it only for the terrier to keep catching it again ?

black and tan bitch out the same litter as the pup with rabbit post. White and black one had its first rabbit the other day in cover. Not bad for 2 days over 6 month. They're coming on a treat. Very pleased with both. Sam

Why he put an American show bred beagle into the mix is baffling to me and although I love his books the bloke was clearly mad as a hatter

Is nobody gunna point out that the breed standard for a Plummer is that the red colouring is predominant and that pup is predominantly white and clearly a russell type
