  10. I completely understand how it looks pal, lol.
  11. I'm no thief mate.I work on the railway and literally found it in a hedge bottom at a track access. I assumed somebody had nicked it and stashed it as soon as I saw it but like most people would do I saw that it was potentially worth something and shoved it in the work van. Couldn't believe my eyes when I looked on ebay.
  12. I work on the railway and came across this in a hedge bottom. Apparently it's some sort of GPS device for combine harvesters etc? Called a John Deere Starfire 3000. Looked on ebay and they seem to be worth a fair bit. It's in near perfect condition except a little rust on the screws underneath.. Any idea how I can find out if it works other than plugging it into a combine harvester which unfortunately I don't own.. Thanks, Sam.
  13. MK1 Rapid View Advert Wanted Mk1 Rapid. Preferably in good nick. Cash waiting Advertiser sambo123 Date 05/12/19 Price £550.00 Category Airguns
  14. Probably. Unfortunately they're the next best thing in the dog world make a lot of money.
  15. No mate it's not. I'm sure they'd all work in some forms. I'd just personally keep it how it has been instead of reinventing the wheel. A dog's a long commitment and trying something new can be a pain. Atb Sam
  16. Like I said, I'm just not interested in a lurcher with gun dog blood in it. I can't see what it would bring as apposed to more traditional crosses that have done the job for a long time. Always good to try new stuff though and I'm sure there's good ones out there. Sam
  17. It's meant to be a forum where topics are discussed but unfortunately it's become a place of bickering and everybody knowing better than everyone else. It's been terrible for years. Like I said, I wouldn't personally own a pointer cross and no I don't find it hard to digest that people have different feelings about them.
  18. Hope the COSS briefed the lurcher..
  19. Pretty sure a Collie wasn't bred to hunt up. A terrier neither. My point is that a pointer was specifically bred to hunt up as a gun dog and use its nose to find quarry above ground. I PERSONALLY wouldn't want a breed like that in a lurcher I wanted for lamping, I'd choose a long dog over one.
  20. A pointer cross is far more likely to hunt up than a long dog for example. I don't doubt their abilities but personally If I wanted a lurcher for lamping I'd avoid a cross with a breed in it that was bred to use its nose. On the other hand it would probably make a good ferreting cross.
  21. I'd be scared of a pointer cross hunting up on the lamp.
  22. No wonder the dog game's f*cked with nobheads around that do stuff like this. Should be banned from keeping dogs.
  23. Being half wild animal I would imagine it would be completely intractable and an absolute nightmare. Stick to the domesticated breeds. There's plenty of choice.
