  1. Had trouble getting right size tyres they are 17 x 50 could only get certain ones in 55 not 50 so just got some winter tyres the right size
  2. Are them stocks coated on the wood or like plastic stuff, i like the idea of them. thanks mate.
  3. Don’t seem as big the airsporter since when I was a kid. Great gun, the sport looks great Jimmy, you have done a cracking job of it.
  4. Aye very sad that is, seems to be the good dogs that have the tragedies, RIP
  5. Them plummers have a decent nose a few few folk have told me
  6. Tried a 4 turn spring and a aluminium mumble stick, worked great, they will get a fair old whack off this spring around the the ribs, no sign of struggle at all, I would think it is as humane as any other mole trap.
  7. They where the Rolls Royce when we were kids
  8. We used to sneak on a local farm at night as kids, used to net the sets up with purse nets and then walk the fields back netting the rabbits, you want someone handy to dispatch them as the buggers will chew the nets to bits like last time I dropped my quick set myself, bugger had some holes in when I got back to it ?
  9. Aye I’ve done that, if you can slip nets on quietly while rabbits are out in the field you can catch a few, not miles different than using a long net it’s just catching them trying to get back to safety
  10. 15 months and 19 1/2” , nippy little thing, looking forward to some ferreting with her this winter, a good age now for it.
  11. Deary me Jimmy you didn’t like that bugger??
  12. Thank you for replying, something to think about ?
  13. Going to try my collie on the lamp, she is only 19” but a nippy thing, I reckon she will catch a few on small fields.
  14. Aye thanks mate, I’m sure this is walnut just seems a lot lighter than the walnut sporter, don’t much look like a walnut stock, i oiled it maybe I did a shit job ?
  15. My old bitch a few years back, farm bred, was a decent ferreting bitch
  16. Just depends how you are wanting to catch rabbits, if a netting/marking dog most breeds will do the job given chance, i have a young collie now which is coming on great, steady and great marker and still just a baby. Runner types i like a whippet or grew type cross, probably 3/4 runner so 3/4 whippet or grew and 1/4 beddy or same but 1/4 collie, i like the idea of a 1/8 beddy 1/8 collie x as well. I prefer a smaller runner but just a personal opinion.
  17. Did the kt stock come in beech as well, i bought a new stock second hand and it is very light, im sure it is walnut but not as heavy and not as dark, i find the thumbhole much more comfortable to shoot, will be parting with the mint condition sporter stock at some point. Thank you.
  18. I have a Skoda Octavia scout 4x4, great motor, it needs new tyres soon, any recommendations for something more grippy for wet fields etc, dont want anything that will make road driving terrible just something in between.
  19. Looking great Jimmy, you are doing a fantastic job?
