Some lads will never have good dogs no matter what the get they always seem to get the bad pup in the litter as you’ve said. I no lads that at 14 months expect to work a dog because that when every pup should work and over face them. Instead of reading there dogs and letting the dog tell you when there ready or hold them back till you think there ready. It’s not always a straight forward the book says he should work at this age so let’s go. They never no when to take it easy when they start and to put them in the right spots to keep the winning the first year. Then the same dog packs it up and

I no the breeding inside out to. It’s out of a chocolate bitch to and a black dog. All black pups and one red and there was also bull put into ours many generations back

Well lads what color is this pup going to finish. It’s a first for me she was jet black till 3 weeks ago and I taught she was going a bronze color but she getting grayer by the day.

It’s a pity lads are like that. If a lad has a dog that could better them then they should be trying to use it not putting second best on their bitch because there ego is to big to say they had to use so and sos dog to improve there’s. There’s little or none of them working to a high standard now. If lads won’t help others out they will be nothing only bushers about in a few years

I’ve never seen a good Bedlington or a border for that matter but I’m sure there’s decent ones out there. What I can’t understand why the few intusiasts don’t get together and breed them right and try get a dying breed back up and going again. Lads seem to be softer on this bred breeding from bushers and ratters and trying to charge top dollar instead of trying to get the type back up to top standard

Your 100% there fox dropper. There has been a few decent lads message me sending me on the right pat. I’ve got a great offer of a dog that sounds just right from a genuine lads. So hopefully next year that outcross will be done all going well. Thanks for yere input lads ?

Reason I ask we are thinking of trying an outcross with our stuff down the line and that’s the way our stuff started out so trying to tie it back in again

I wouldn’t use it I seen a few bitches not able to go in pup after it. Something about the uterus being dirty after it. A friend of mine had a butch had a litter then the next season an unentered dog got to her and he jabbed her. She’s been lined 3 or 4 times since with no pups and was put on a course of antibiotic buy the vet with no luck still. My uncle had a setter bitch and a sheepdog jumped into her pen and lined her he jabbed her but she had 4 deformed pups. He lined her this year and had to have her sectioned and he got one live pup from her but the vet said her uterus was dirty from th
