  1. First cross beddy whippet, about 9 months old, 18"
  2. Anyone use them? Wondering what the quality is like, seem reasonably priced
  3. Aye Gresford is in Wales. Depends on your definition of England/Britain, probably should of just said "worst disaster in the UK"
  4. Cheers! Just hope I won't have problems with rats
  5. Video of Craghead Colliery Band, last remaining band in the Stanley area, at a memorial do a few year ago for the West Stanley Pit Disaster - the 2nd worst disaster in history of the Durham coal field (after Hartley). The song is 'Miners Hymn' which was written for the Gresford Disaster which was THE worst disaster in England. Great song, very emotive.
  6. South Durham, me mam and sister (and me at times) used to ride with them and they still go to meetings, etc
  7. are you from craghead mick? I lived there until a few weeks ago
  8. Does a compost bin need to have an open bottom and be sat on grass/soil? Or could i just use a plastic dust bin and keep turning it so that one week it's upright and one week upside down..?
  9. I have a first cross bedlington/whippet, she came into season for the first time a day after turning 7 months old, now she has just turned 10 month old and is in season again (and has been for about 2 weeks now). She is swollen but only very small amounts of blood are present. Is it normal to come into season again so soon? Would this affect her health? She seems very frustrated, always trying to hump her coat.
  10. Looking for a coat for my whippetx, one of those greyhound style ones that hangs down behind the back legs. Fleece lined and rain proof. Any suggestions?

    Local work

That's it with agency's though isn't it, they get like 12 quid for every hour you work, but you only see half that. Job centre is f****n useless as well, only jobs in the job centre are sat behind the desk telling people there isn't any jobs.
  12. I've found that cooking onion or leek too fast burns it and makes it taste nutty. So, lots of butter and a medium heat I reckon.
  13. Found bits of shot plenty of times, even in restaurants, not much can be done about it. You'll more than likely feel it in your mouth before swallowing, and that couple of seconds it's in your mouth won't harm you. It won't be sharp or owt so don't worry
  14. After all this bother it'd be an awkward situation for both yourself and them if you were employed by them. So I wouldnt of even asked for the interview after they proved you hadn't worked there before. I'm on with a temp agency at the minute, always done good for me. Only had one week with no shifts since last October. Better than nothing, and given that I was out of work for a few years before this I'm just happy that I'm getting work and building up a decent CV that shows I'm keen and reliable.
  15. Slowly mix some flour into it to thicken the sauce if it's too watery
  16. £90 on electric and £120 for gas would keep my house going for over 2 months, never mind 2 weeks
  17. Looks very 'How Green was My Valley', which is canny related to the first video that came up for where I live..
  18. I've been hearing about this all day. I live not for away, work a few miles from spenny, always stories going round of daftys round there trying to prove themselves. Dare say that's all it is. Proper shocking though. We've always had horses, have 15 at the minute. Can't imagine what would happen if someone did this to them.
  19. It's a bitch. Course it makes sense, she is 2 and a 1/2 months old now, I'm wondering how big she will be at 6months and after..
  20. Wondering when my 2 1/2 month pup will fill out and get to full height.
  21. Always prefered the sapphire cosworth over the 3dr, much more practical. With a 3 door you're blatently up to no good haha.
  22. "Gangs"... Can't imagine the Hackney massif badger baiting, especially when this time last year they were all dressed up to the nines in Barbour jackets and that like the responsible country folk they are
