Sliced carrots, leek, bacon, pint of bitter. Can't go wrong

Southern fried Hare.. In food-storage bag, mix flour, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Add hare and shake to coat. Either place in frying pan with a 1/4 inch of oil or drop into deep fat fryer. Cook until browned; or put knife into the meat and if it comes out clean, it's cooked. Serve with chips and beans, KFC style

Looking for a book, more of a cooking guideline than encyclopedia, on mushrooms. All the pocket books I'm looking at just explain what the mushroom is and if it will kill you, the don't actually say 'this would go well in a stew with such and such', etc. Cheers
