  1. in short, sire is v. Tightly bred on s.s and bitch is tightly bred frisco on top and shadow x smutt bottom
  2. Don't know how to put up links but if you Google blue pride of Ireland whippet archives. You will see dogs ped. If you Google Martin h truck pedigree online you will see bitches ped. I don't want to count my chickens but all going well there will be a couple spare. I'll be sell ING them on this site so as I can keep in touch with owners for honest feedback. Won't be looking for silly money
  3. Well lads. The mating toolk. Bitch is bursting. Should be born end of month. Hopefully all goes well for pups and bitch
  4. water pistols at dawn lolol super soaker wins hands down They're a different breed the old alley foxes, fire brigade with the heavy hose is what's needed thereI was sexualy assaulted down an alley by a big dog fox, I don't recommend using your heavy hose to fend them off.. Passers-by can get the wrong idea lol
  5. Size for a start. Not everyone wants a big dog. Plus they will do everything any other whippet x would and the ones iv seen are fantastic bushing and mooching dogs they have fantastic noses and can have a good stretch on the lamp too. These pups that stud dogs bred all look like they can run too which is great. I agree with the above and I just wanted to add... One thing people usually seem to over look on past debates I've read on this subject is the benefits of the working traits a working bred whippet brings to the table. Ie.. intelligence, nose , trainability, prey drive. In other words a
  6. Great to hear people are happy with the pups you put out.I'm sure it's worth a lot more then the price of a pup to get good feed back on the litter. If we all bred for the sake of putting good gear in our kennels and the field rather then Coin we'd all be the better for it. I know it's an obvious statement but just look at the adds on some of the other sites. Some people are on a different mission. I know people get slated on this site if they advertise shite but it's not allways a bad thing(keeps people honest) . A.t.b and hope they keep doin ye proud. A.t.b Brenner
  7. Out walking the dogs yesterday. Bitch marking a Fox. I've upped her grub so looking a little heavy in picks. Won't be too long before I know if she's in pup .
  8. Got two good ties over last couple of days. Il go one more the day after tomorrow and hopefully nature does the rest . Fingers x
  9. Point taken Matt. I suppose my search for an honest litter ended well so left me thinking differently then you . But I can understand from your personal experience why you would be left with a bad taste in your mouth , so to speak. A.t.b
  10. I hear ye Peter. I might give that a miss then.
  11. I think the only reason I paid as much as I did for my whippet is knowing the consistency of workers being produced from his particular line. I wanted to put the odds in my favour and it worked out well for me in the end. Why does a man spend 200 euros on a chancy p.b.t yet the same man would spend 1000 if pup was from a long line of tightly bred proven producers of game dogs ? .. good odds...
  12. I'm thinking I might run a large electric heating pad used for reptile tanks in the bottom of the whippets box this week . Fairly cheap to buy and I would say ,cheaper to run then a lamp.
  13. if you're in enland I would say your spoiled for choice mud. There's some decent blood being worked hard there. I started a topic on here a while back about all types of working whippets. Turns out there are a few members on here That have good whippets from good blood and work them hard . Might be worth a look if your thinking of going down that road. A.t.b
  14. their a real nice type of bull x whippet wezza. Ide say youl have great sport with them little gurriers . They have a look about them that says their looking for trouble .. a.t.b with them
  15. i was nt knocking either of the dogs or trying to put you off the mating. Just telling you my experience of the first cross from a bigger sire and dam. All the best with the mating hope they turn out well for u budapp. That Jake.. reason I asked is I was wondering if the dogs in her breeding were rangey types or bulldog types
  16. I like her stud dog.. I could definitely work with that ..
  17. Lads I'm not trying to push these unborn pups or my opinions on anyone else. If all goes well These pups will be tailored specificly for my local hunting ground and my style of hunting. For what it's worth I should mention that the ground I walk on the daily is more bramble and woods than open ground( waste ground in the middle of the suburbs) and it is not unusual to bump into foxes or ferral things on my travels. There is very little room for big dogs to pick up the momentum before quarry hits cover.I know this from trial and error and if I can breed a handy sized , hard hitting little gur
  18. was just going to write the same mate. I fetched two pups from a well bred 18 inch bull bitch to a 22 inch whippet and they turned out horrible looking things . Like leggy terriers 17 tts and could nt run for shit. She s a cracking looking bitch , I d be tempted for coursing blood or pure grey. We always put a bull sire to a greyhound dam to throw 23 to 24 inch half crosses. just out of curiosity Jake, what was the breeding behind the bull bitch ?
