Pups all doing well. 5 weeks today. Well wormed. Plenty of socialization. Great little carachters.all mad little b*****ds. No real shape to them yet. I will get pics up when they start to take shape. -
If you can even get some bedding from a mates kennels that a bitch was living in while fully in heat and put it your bitches box might bring her in

forgot to say.. to take dinner off dog when he's eating so as to trigger reaction and repeat until he knows who the boss is

If you have a narrow walk way up the side of your house or even the hallway in a house (basically a run with a dead end and the only way out is past you.) throw the dummy towards dead end and then produce a treat if he won't come back to you. I'm guessing he's possessive of the dummy so maybe praise alone will not be enough to get him to want to hand it up to you, hence the combination of giving a treat(trade off) and loads of praise. After a good few short seccions of doing this. Move out into an open space and using your own judgment decide when you think he's ready to do this in the field

I was trying to go for a wind up. Guess that puts a stop to that ...lol

I wonder if he would personalize a collar for me. By stitching on a good old tri colour where the union Jack usually goes...lol

if ye ask me .. sanity is way overrated . Leave sanity for the few that have to indure it -
when there is any else in the cross but bull and sighthound. Bullxgrey/salukixgrey at a push id say is a bullx but a bullxgrey/colliexgrey has bull in it. Not a bullxA bull cross is bull blood and greyhound blood to me. Saluki bull grey or whippet bull grey is a lurcher. Don't suppose it matters what you call them if they work. Lol i agree with u gaz. But now looking at what he said, saluki is sighthound too. So I suppose it could be looked as a bull x.Yeh maybe so matey. will u all stop agreeing with each other. ! That's not how t.h.l works !!I just want a quiet life these days. Im 27 now,

For a long time, I would have gone lamping on my own. Still do occasionally. The only disadvantage is when your dog makes an exceptional catch and you've no one to share the buzz with -

I think my answer was better than yours.... Looks to me like you want a 3 page long argument on the subject. .. well I'm the type of guy to go 4 pages so be warned before your next reply ... Lol

Definition of a lurcher... A sight hound x with a working breed that catches and or kills stuff .. simples
-
my best guess would be when the dog starts being referred to as a lurcher with a touch of bull eg... "It's a colliex grey deerhound with a touch of bull going way back " . There is bull there but I reckon ide stop calling it a bull x after 1/8 bull. I know people could pick holes in that logic but it's only a personal opinion rather than a definitive answer

Fairly even litter. One male slightly smaller than the other 4 . Their all that bronze / black colour , like the Bitch pup . I just got her pic in daylight
-
2 weeks tomorrow
-
I'm gonna put up pics of the 4 males now, go back one page stud and youl see a pic of the Bitch I'm holding back.
-
should get a couple up later for ye Steve.

I was told by a wheaten enthusiast a few years back that it's hard enough to get a descent one nowadays even if you're in the click. The failure rate in litters of well bred wheatens he told me was fairly high. On the flip side, where I live you could travel a short distance in any direction to find a good well bred p.b.t stud.

obviously I'm asking for opinions of people that have owned or been out enough with one to give an honest reply ... I only ask because I've always had a passing interest in this line
