  1. Free men do not only have needs. They fulfill wants. You and people that think like you have the mindset of subjects. Citizens think differently. We are no ones “ subject”. Please don’t take this as an attack, it is an observation. I understand your line of thinking. You will never understand mine.
  2. I was ring side (Hammersmith Odion) for Andries V Harding (sp) rubber match. Classic war, with two warriors giving it everything.
  3. For those of you that speak against an armed population please answer me these two questions. 1 Do you trust your government? If as I’m sure many of you answered no, then, please answer #2 2 Then why do you want them to be the only ones with guns? Molon Labe.......

    Wolf dog

It would look better with a bullet between the eyes and used as a throw rug. Dirty dog eating SOB’s.
  5. There is a scene on happy people, where he’s going home to “see” his wife. Lol watch how his dog runs beside his snow machine. Somewhere between 20and 30 kl per hour for 120 kl(?). Damn impressive. That same dog(bitch) will spend its time sleeping outside in -30c weather. Tough animal.
  6. Step one; crap pants. Step two; point gun. Step three; make noise. Step four; bear makes decision. Step five; (if I’ve survived step four) shoot dogs for letting him that close. Step six; make coffee, wait for trembling to stop. Step seven; clean problem caused at step one.
  7. My two males are kept leashed for the first 10 minutes or so when they are packing. Also, I don’t let them pack anything I’m not prepared to lose. They got on a moose chase once (b*****ds) and somewhere out there is a sil tarp and a jet boil that I’ll never see again.
  8. Depending on your dog, put a pack in him and let him carry his own food. Maybe some of your stuff to. If im hiking, my dogs carry a lot of my stuff.
  9. Ok. Ive had a lot of experience with bears(at least my dogs have) so I don’t worry to much. Ive never crossed pathes with a true “ predator bear (or I wouldn’t be writing this) but some are more curious that others. You have to watch out for moma with cubs. She’s just doing her job, but might chew you up just to prove a point. Worst feeling I’ve ever had was while fishing/gold panning in a little stream aways from town. I had a hound and an Airedale sitting on the bank waiting for me, when they started growling and woofing at something across the stream. The
  10. There’s always some excitement, but don’t want to hijack this thread.
  11. Hope this works. My John dog, he is usually with me on my trips.
  12. Gone anytime from over night to two weeks. Landscape is bush or forest as you guys would call it. Looking out of my front window is straight bush for ever until you hit the NWT. Nope, I’m no Ranger, just a guy that likes to hunt / fish/camp / canoe in the back county. Your question as to weather a dog is a help or not I say definitely. I always have one with me. Good company, good early warning system for two and four legged critters, and if shit got real, I guess it’s 50lb of good eating.........?
  13. I think Chris was a victim of under planning and over romantasizing (sp) off grid living. He was certainly an accomplished survivor and un afraid to test his own abilities. Unfortunately for him, he found his limit. Being in the backcountry without company or communications may seem mad to some, but to those that do it, it’s no different from hunting with your dogs alone. I frequently hunt and camp alone (except for a dog or two) many, many kilometres from civilization. I live alone and work independently. It could be weeks before anyone knew I was missing.
  14. Watched first 20 seconds..... no man should act like that.... ever. Also, not particularly big buck.... can you imagine the first time he got laid....
  15. I don’t, however a local guy got A mom and cub on trail cam in the summer. I have a picture ( taken 2yrs ago) of grizz tracks quite close to my home. I put my track next to it for comparison. I take a size 10 and it was dwarfed! I’ll see if I can put it up.
  16. Bella killed that grizz appropriately 30 kl from where I live. I was following one of its offsprings tracks two days ago. It threw big stock!

    buck knives..

What has your country came to, when honest people can’t possess a lockable knife and criminals carry what ever they want. This is what happens when a population allows its self to be disarmed. Some in my country aren’t far behind.
  18. Didn’t say he didn’t. But we’re talking about “underrated “ fighters. Fighters that never got the recognition they deserve for one reason or another If all you recognize is the win loss column then you’ve a lot to learn about fighting.
  19. Micheal Watson. Handeled Benn at his best, beat Eubank in first fight (I was ring side) was easily ahead in the second. A great pity we never got to see more.
  20. I'm good for a couple of month of real food and probably another 30 days of survival rations (noodles, rice etc.). Before I start on the dry goods, I'd be harvesting one of these deer that wander through my place on a regular basis. Was laid up (house bound) for 20 days last winter, didn't miss anything other than fresh fruit.
  21. I stand corrected...... You’ve read something. I work alongside them. You must be right. Outa here......
  22. That’s what they want you to think so you get that safe, warm looked after feeling. Their not. First and foremost they are there to contain and let the specialty teams deal with it
  23. The Police are not there to rescue you. They are there to contain the situation, until SWAT / specialty teams turn up. Most Officers will and do go beyond the call of duty and engage the perpetrator but that is not what their trained to do. A lot of my friends are LEO, they hate it when I point this out, but they can't argue it. As for the Officer that didn't go in............he's already died a thousand deaths, each day can only get worse.
  24. Something that most on this thread will not understand is that you are “subjects” ie your are subjected to the will of the Queen and therefore her government. The Americans are “citizens “ and regard themselves as equal to anybody in their government. (at least the ones I know do). They will not surrender their arms because as citizens in a republic they have a “right” to them. As subjects your “rights” are given to you and taken from you at the will of the government.
