    Very interesting topic with some good informative ansewers , I remember reading years ago about marc glen (think that was his name ) in EDRD training a beardie cross for old style hunting Always wonder how the dog came out ? seem to remember the dog been abit hyper , is this the case with alot of collie lurchers or just a myth

    Seen plenty of people find lots of interesting stuff with reasonably cheap machines ( not the Chinese ones though ) over the years Garret aces are quite good value for money and are easy to sell on if you want to up grade or give up

    Think its av on Canons Kritti , you just have to read the manual and get out there and experiment Im still going through this stage myself and there seems loads to remember , sometimes i switch to auto settings to give me a close idea usauly by this time the birds flown off

    Best i did on 11 meters was talking to a guy in South africa on triple 5 for about 5 mins Also used to like dxing on mid band , use to chat to a guy who lived in finland but was born in york Had afew side banders over the years superstars , cobra 148,presidents ect but no longer have a rig
