  1. Without wishing to pry Shaun, were the caution and arrest due to alcohol related incidents? If so, you'd do well to prove to them that you've stopped drinking, as the three offences all being alcohol related would tend to point to you being unfit due to an inability to control your drinking. Please don't think I'm having a go, I'm not, just trying to point out how they might see it. If you have a history of alcohol related offending, especially involving violence then you can understand how they might see you having access to weapons as a big issue. Of course if they weren't alcohol relate
  2. The RFD is wrong. The referee forms should be sent directly from the referees to the police, you shouldn't see them. You might get away with it, or the police might ask for a new set of reference forms. The idea being that if you don't see the forms, the referees are more likely to put down any doubts they have about you. Land checks will be done by the FEO that does the interview, unless you're in a different force area to the land, in which case the FEO for that area will do the check. You can always phone the force for the area and ask if the land has been approved. Make sure
  3. Make? Age? Pics? Could be anything from £10 to £10'000!
  4. Squirrel is tasty, but a bit of a b*****d to skin! If anything it's better than rabbit, though you need a couple for a meal.
  5. I try to avoid shooting mixy bunnies. Research has shown that the recovery rate is aroun 90%, and this helps to build up resistance in the population. Of course it's not transmissible to humans or other animals, so they are perfectly edible, or good for feeding dogs and other animals. Phantom's never mentioned any mixy that I can remember, it can be pretty localised when it breaks out! Hope your bunnies get better soon hh!
  6. Alright mate. Are the scopes staying with the rifles?
  7. Bet you had fun skinning and gutting that little lot!
  8. FAC required, with a slot for an FAC air rifle!
  9. Looked after properly, they'll all last years. The berettas I've heard very good things!
  10. If the police believe you are not a safe person to hold a firearm, then the chances of being granted a handgun as a humane killer are pretty slim. A captive bolt humane killer would be your next best option, and no licence is required for one.
  11. Erm... Nope and nope. Neither of these is a contraction, nor do you need an apostrophe to indicate possession!
  12. Good going mate, what load do you use for the foxes?
  13. Ahhh, got the lab bit, the hair should have given away the collie. Nice looking girl! I have Oscar, who looks a little bit like her, but is lab x staffy. Direct links to the pics below, to save you having to trawl through the posts. If you want I can let you have them in higher res, as I cropped these right down to save on forum download time and PB bandwidth allowance! 14. Good job mate! There is a pic of me on the thread I started a few days ago, and of Davy too! What make of dog is Lady?
  15. Wouldn't know mate, I'd never look at stuff like that!
  16. You say you were given the rifle, I'm assuming that a parent or similar bought it brand new and gave it to you direct? If that's the case, then it might help to take the actual purchaser along to have a word. Under the sale of goods act, they have to provide a product that is "substantially as described, of reasonable quality and fit for purpose" Your rifle fails two of those tests, possibly all three, as I'm sure he didn't describe it as "not working". You have the right to demand a replacement or refund. He can offer to try and fix the problem, and you can choose to accept,
  17. A shooting bipod like the ones above, with a rifle mounted bipod, can make an incredibly stable shooting platform! Drop the tripod down, and grab the leg of the gun tripod against the leg of the cane bipod and you can hold the rifle up like that, completely stable!
  18. Hehe, have you got him/her a rifle yet?
  19. Give them their due, they know a thing or two about customer service!
  20. You might be able to hold the gun on your own certificate, but you wouldn't be able to buy any ammunition, someone would have to give it to you.
  21. OOOOOh  OOOOh  OOOOH !!!!! My Turn, Wassa DP? Phantom I think it's like an SP, only for people with fat fingers and poor aim! (That's going on the proximity of the D key to the S key)
  22. Good lass! And there's you having a go about not going out in the rain!
  23. Very nice! What make is the scope? And what magnification is it?
  24. Nice shot! You're still alive then, I though a certain young lady might have poisoned your coffe for putting that video up!
