ive got 3-1 x 1.5 runs in 5cm bar pannels, pressed concrete ridge roof, it fits in the corner of my garden and 2 sides are covered by the fence which helps with the wind and the other end i covered myself with ridged clear plastic to also stop rain and wind, and i have boxes inside that sit a good foot of the floor and are filled with old clothes etc with a hole cut out facing the back of the kennel so there is no draft, no need for daft straw that blocks up the drain

If your wee dog hasnt done much there may well be one in there, being mid tube I would say things could have been getting tight for the dog and hes just not keen on pushing on through the tight part. All we can all do is guess though so best thing you could do is next time sit back and give your dog plenty of time. When trying holes with him dont make any fuss at all over it(Dont egg him on). Have you dug him before with a fox infront of him? think he's digging to soon aswell me too, school boy error, i used to do the same!! i used to panic a bit and want the dog out!

i wouldnt comprihend using one, i use a barry vox box and bellman collar, it pinpoints to 0.0 so no worries there, ive got the mk3m for the ferrets but thats all it gets used for!

not everyone has the time to see both parents work unless its a mate or someone close but its always reasuring when you know they've kept a few back them selves and invite you for a dig when the pups mature enough, also i bought a pup that was the last in the litter (avatar pic), he looked right and now does the job well at the age of 2 and comming onto his tenth dig.. so not all are bad -

Mate theres always something that could go wrong when entering a terrier to ground, Everytime they enter we risk losing them its something you have to get your head round, its not a nice thought but it is the reality of terrier work. well if your half hearted about it then dont bother, and i do worry, every time my dogs to ground, especially in a new earth, last time he was entered it all went silent, i felt sh!t!
