    The magic ingredient needed for genuine and not just aesthetic breed creation or recreation for me has to be purpose/function, wether you took a Pomeranian (nee offence Fuji) or St.Bernard rabbiting and had enough of either eventually purpose would form type best to best would alter the beast dramatically to a functional type.I feel fortunate enough to have witnessed a virtual breed or type creation with Coursing Dogs over time, similarly with Black Terriers, both bred to perform a function not fill a standard.Using animals to aid livelihood would certainly expedite this a lot faster than mone

    Assuming your dogs understand the command NO, then breaking them is achievable, albeit a little time consuming, however I wouldnt be considering trying both dogs together.concentrating on the percieved problem one first, minute or two at a time, assuming these wee scottish beasties have some level of basic obedience, if not that would be the first order of the day.A lot of work and time goes into a ferreting dog there's NO QUICK FIX.As far as the ferret bite, the anticipation is worse than the event, like bee stings an falling off horses, oncd its happened you realise it aint that bad!
