  1. its not hard to work out unless your retarded ...what would you rather have a dog that takes 3 4 OR 5 MINS TO finish a hare or a dog that gets the job done in 3 4 or 5 turns Right, after explainig it properly, I'd go with the less turns option as well. No need for the 'retarded' comment though cheers sorry about the farm animals comment aswell lol

  4. I wish I wasn't a full shilling, I'd understand alot more of what gets posted on here!
  5. whats your opinions? Beddy Whippets overrated however is still like them and Whip/Grey underrated and are often dismissed because people think if it doesn't have saluki in the cross it will be knackered after 10 meters and that is just not the case. Whippet/greyhounds I think are probably the most underrated type these days, but used to be pretty common, very good dogs. Wouldn't give you tuppence for a bull x or a saluki x
  6. Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the dog either, seen some very good ones bred this way over the years, but not many in the last 20-25 years. And that's mainly because the bullx's started to get popular with certain people who wanted immage makers, and thought this x would be 'SMASHING' stuff early! Mmm good point shaaark, I own a Deer/Grey x Whippet/Grey, I'm a little bit surprised there isn't more of them about. . Saying that, yet to own and run a saluki x . . But that'll change next season! Bull x's are not my thing, a bit is fine, but not too much. . Deer/grey x whip/grey is a very good type
  7. Are you not confusing stamina with fitness? Plenty of very fast, quick types will do 3 days a week with no problem

  9. Back in 2004 the teeth on some of the older dog's had the odd groove worn in the canine when they where unlucky enough to go jaw to jaw. .with owld charlie..them day's are long gone now though mate..just bunnies for me these day's.. . Not being a terrierman, the only foxes I saw despatched on a regular basis, which was in the 80's and 90's, were by a 1st x deer/grey, best I ever seen, and a deer/grey x collie/grey, another great dog, game over for the foxes in seconds. But like you say, in the past now.
  10. you got me on the 'grooved' bit, must be my age! lol
  11. LOL , kin el millet, don't you know that if your dogs aint SMASHING 'teeth' by the time they're ten months old, then they aint 'real' dogs! Lol, dogs look great
  12. The saluki boys use them, usually when they are getting the dog to swim....... Off a long pier Lol
  13. No its not just you, i dont know what the f**k is wrong with people! @ BOTH above posts
  14. a lot of vets are sponsored by the major dog food manufacturers
  15. lol that's how I feel after an hour on this site
  16. That red bit is a brave statement to say the least,Plenty of whippets that will go through cover better than a terrier. Then you go on to say when crossed back to grey you hit the jackpot,With running dogs speed kills,Finding the right balance is the hard bit. Its easy to lamp and catch bouncers you can do it with a collie,Ive seen dogs you struggle not to take the light of the rabbit to see where the dog is Catches plenty if thats your thing. But the same dog in the day time out mooching,Ok if you have game rich land but if you have to put the miles in you need a dog than can make a half

  18. Said it before, that black dog's a belter!
  19. I would've loved it too, can barely bring myself to look at saluki bred dogs! Fecking ugly things lol
  20. Deerhounds are not slow learners, a bit slower to mature than some other types, but generally excellent blood to put into a lurcher. Take your time when you start him working and he should be sound. And I've seen a few the same way bred as yours turn out into very good dogs a t b
  21. It's not just daywalkers that know how to condition dogs and feed them the best, far from it, and alot of em could still learn alot from those that aint into matching their dogs shaaark 99% of daywalkers do not match their dogs and do not broadcast it on a internet forum what their doing with their dogs but what i will say is ive seen a lot of lamp dogs whos owners considered them very lamp fit come out for a days running on longears on big land with no hiding places .and their dogs havnt been able to get of their beds for days and gone of their food .and ive seen this more than the once o
