  1. You're living somewhere too civilised then. Get down to splott or grangetown in cardiff, or better still, have a wander to a few places up aberdare way, very nice this time of year ?
  2. I'm surprised as well really. But if it's legal where you live, they're great to run ?
  3. Hope fielding wins, just can't see it. But at least he won't be outweighed by about 10 lb by alvarez
  4. In all serousness, I thought wilder only won one round, and shared possibly two. Fury took every other round and was the better boxer, no two ways about it
  5. Well personally, I had fury winning, cos he's the best heavyweight since ali, and won every round, including the two he was knocked down in. Should've been a landslide unanimous decision ?
  6. My father did the same mate, and instilled a pretty solid financial way of thinking into my head. It's actually quite sad and frustrating to see so many people getting stressed over what/how much they feel they have to buy for christmas. And, if your not careful or shrewd enough, how easy it is to get into financial difficulties at this time of year. Like I said, I've a fairly large and quite extended family, droves of the little beggars actually lol, and I do my best, but I never get into debt ?
  7. Yeah, skints me out, but I don't get in debt ?
  8. Yeah, some of these coursing breds are huge things, especially those irish park dogs. No, not too many people prepared to take on a well bred grey pup and rear and use it as a lurcher. I hope it works out for you ?
  9. Never really watched a great deal of it, til the last couple of years really. But both my lads love watching it, especially my youngest. Is that sent with malice, or christmas cheer, you c**t?! ?
  10. Well this thread is 'morphing' into something a few of us are actually agreeing on! Lol, must be the christmas spirit lol
  11. Yep, the size difference can be quite surprising now. Most racing dogs will be around 70 - 75 lb give or take a couple of pound, bitches about 10 ish lb lighter, in general. Some big dogs racing, but not that many.
  12. Can't disagree with that. Those guys do f**k all except train
  13. Yeah, there's little to no difference really. Modern greyhound racing in uk started in the 1920's, 1926 I think. And all greyhounds can be traced back to the earlier coursing dogs. Most early litters would have some pups destined for the track, some for coursing, some pups would've been dual purpose, race in summer, course in winter. I think It's only since the 60's - 70's really that we've had greyhounds 'specifically' race bred. That's as far as I can remember anyway. Perhaps a certain 'expert' from the fury thread in the general talk section may comment on this, to put me right ? ....
  14. LMFAO ?!!! I'm f***ing crying here mate ffs!!! ?
  15. A bit like all the friendly banter on the tyson fury thread. Yes, I can see where you're coming from. ...................?. Yep, can't beat christmas dinner ?. Too many nieces and nephews in my family ?, skints me right out every year! Lol
  16. See, my experiences with collie x's have been the same. Every lurcher, as opposed to longdog, that I've owned never did either, at least I can't remember it. I've seen a few doing it over the years, but none of them were straight collie x's ?
  17. That an old pic of maddie phil?
  18. Did you ever have any issues with her stalking rabbits/game mate?
  19. Good point that about the overheating. My lad's old lurcher was the same, sire was beardie/grey x border/beardie/grey, dam was pure greyhound. He had the thickest coat and skin I've personally seen on a lurcher, had to make sure temps were below about 8 degrees practically every time he took him lamping. Could see see him wilting pretty quickly after a few runs sometimes, and then take a bit of a break so he could recover. Was a very fit dog, so it was nothing to do with fitness levels. I don't think a running dog needs that sort of weather protecting coat these days
  20. And I'm still laughing at your clueless analogy as to his weight and condition. Wilder at 6' 7" weighed in at 212 lb, 15 stone 2, not big, but in really good shape. Fury at 6' 9" weighed in at 256 lb, 18 stone 2, very untoned, looked as though he could've shifted another couple of stone no problem, and you reckon he couldn't ever get in the ring again under 17 odd stone!! You are as clueless about bodyweight and training as you are with your MASSIVE 'overestimation' of fury!! Oh dear oh dear, you've got it bad ? Oops, how remiss of me, I forgot we're being civilised ......... ? lol.
  21. And you KNOW what I was getting at re hearns and fury, and it's called 'reading between the lines'. Power to weight etc. But you won't see ANYONE else's point of view on fury, so as someone else has already said, it's a bit pointless giving an 'opinion' on him
  22. The c**t hasn't got a joke in him, apart from his boxing FACTS
  23. Good points there again, especially re stupid commands AND owners, which in my opinion is the main reason for the rise in popularity of ................. THE BULL CROSS!!! .............. ?. Don't hate me you bull x owners, just saying they are 'easier' to deal with than collie crosses ? ?
  24. Good post that, crackhead looking for shelter lol ?
