    I would also add, that these days, with the winters being milder than they've been for years, I don't see the point in having a dog with all the coat that most beardie crosses have. Risk of overheating is all too easy after a couple of runs, and you WILL see your dog fade quite quickly. I'd go border over border/beardie or beardie every time

    The beardie collie mentality certainly seems more quirky to me than border collie, far more quirky in fact. Yes I suppose some border collies and their crosses can also be a bit quirky, but all the border crosses, both half and three quarter breds, have been easier to train, work, not saying better work dogs, and live with than dogs with beardie in. Don't know about other 'lines' of beardie, just going by the ones I've seen

    You didn't say that your bitch had beardie blood in it. But if it did, I'd say that's where the problem lays. Forget beardie blood, and just stick with border. All the dogs from hancock's WITHOUT beardie blood in that I've seen, have been easier, far easier in most cases, than dogs with beardie in. And I'm going from when he first started breeding, up til now. Even my old dog that taffy was the sire to, dam a greyhoundy mongrel lurcher, great catch dog, but a c**t of a brain scrambler!     Seen plenty of dogs that size holding roe, back in the day. 23 - 24" she would've been nearer 50lb than 40lb.     It's all relative really, length of time between fights. As long as they aint overtrained, all this one or two fights a year with most weight divisions really, is a load of bollox. Any fighter should be able to, and years ago would've, fought 4, 5 or 6 times a year without a problem.

    To be honest with you bird, I don't know for certain who's going to be fighting who. The last couple of weeks that I've been watching what the promoters and the boxers thamselves have been saying, has put me off heavyweight fights again. All the talk of the money, ppv, politics within boxing etc etc is getting out of hand. Alll a load of bollox. When a messed up and out of shape fury fought wilder to a draw and yes, I did have fury winning, that should tell people how 'ordinary' wilder is, and he's been picking his opponents carefully to avoid a loss, which is exactly what he did with fury, b

    Wilder v fury 2 will never happen. Wilder doesn't want it. He knows fury beat him, and like I said, and keep saying, he's fought no-one really, and only took the fury fight cos fury wasn't 'really' supposed to be a threat.     This tall and that build ?. Back in the day, same as now really I suppose, people weren't that bothered really as to what 'exactly' was in their deer hunting dogs. As I've said, and as far as I know, it was more a case of 'he/she's a good dog' let's mate em. Then the resultant offspring would then have been tried, but not always , on a few species of deer. They were still good dogs, even though some were never tried on deer ?
