  1. one of mine once caught a rabbit, to say i was shocked was an understatment!

  3. got stopped in boots yesterday by a lady doing a survey. "whats your favourite grooming products" she says. "facebook,sweets and puppies" i replied.

  9. looking forwrd to the winter now, alf has levelled out at just over 23" and pretty keen.had a number of daytime rabbits mostly bushed and is pretty easy going and showing plenty of potential, probably have his 1st look on the lamp end of august. in the meantime he is just enjoying twatting about in the river and generally annoying my other 2 lurchers!

  11. looking at getting the 14ah aswell, may aswell get a striker with it. being tighter than a ducks arse im still looking and comparing prices but there is nothing that really sets apart the prices. there was a deal last year in the cmw from ian hodge i think, £200 for the lamp and batt but i phoned em last month and they told me it was just a promotion! matt

  13. rosettes dont catch rabbits although that dosnt stop me putting mine in the odd show for a bit of FUN! my mutts dont have many rosettes and they dont catch many rabbits either :icon_redface:hehehehe matt

  15. congratulations to you both! cant beat the feeling of seeing em take their 1st! good luck for the coming season, ive got a 10month old sapling on the go at the moment and well chuffed with his progress.....dunno who was prouder at his 1st catch....me or the dog!!! cheers, matt

  18. luckily for me i have access to an outstanding bushing terrier so he has seen and been involved in 1 or 2 catches in the day when out just walking and general mooching with my other lurchers...nothing too serious but all signs point to a good future! i also own his sire who is pretty handy when he wants to be!
  19. took alf for a short local this eve and was glad i did! i spotted a bunny way out in the middle of a field, obviously had mixy as no bunny in good health would be tha far out this early. once i had got him sighted he was off....even for a mixy it still gave a bit of a run around and made alf look pretty daft but he eventually scooped up the bunny and trotted straight back dropping it at my feet. nothing testing or special for most dogs but well chuffed with him for a 10month old pup......it can only do wonders fo his confidence and well proud of him. showing lots of potential......roll on oct

  22. my 9month old pup had his 1st bunny today!!!!! goes out alot with my other lurchers and my mates terriers just for a walk and general mooching, nothing serious. also had my other lurcherout for the 1st time since he dislocated his hock in nov, again nothing serious just a bit of a mooch and the terriers accidently moved a fox out of a bramble patch that was shot and retrieved by the cripple. not usually one for hitting em hard in the spring/summer but was well happy with my little walk and well chuffed for the pup....oh and the pup also comicly caught a mouse that fought back and caused a bi
