Why do you have such a dim few on farmers? you sound like the antis ill informed and un educated on the subject. are you saying tax payers arnt entitled to know were its being spent,i know 1 million a year is paid to one lowther estate farm each year, now that is justone of many of thier farms, imagine what the church gets and all the dukes and earls, its nt righ
  4. Yeah and really like to have a go at slabbing some table tops like these bad boys!!! But I'll need a bigger saw! Which I can't afford at the moment so thought I'd get some practice in on some oak and ash I have access to (far to good for firewood)
  5. Looking at husqvarna 372xp for what I think is reasonable money, would it be suitable for milling? I've read that 70cc is the absolute minimum for milling but at the same time I'd like a saw I can still handle for some light felling and firewood etc? How easy would I burn the saw out if I was milling and how can I avoid it without spending sh*t loads on a bigger saw that I can't use for much else? Also what's the longest bar I could sensibly run on it? Cheers for any advice Ant

Well, went back to work today now it's receded! We had a BIG fire in March that flattened most of it and now the floods have taken what the fire didn't get, not looking good unfortunately. After the fire there was lots of positives " we will come back from this", the re-builds been signed off and it's gonna be an opportunity to be better than we were before"!! Etc etc but there's none of that now. Not to sure what the futures gonna hold but I'm sure "it'll be r'ight" lol more rain forecast to!

  19. what is it that holds the beams in place? do you bed them on morter or is it just that there isn't enough room for them to move anyway? as in set them on a lip. also do you need to screed over them? as it would help with ventilation to the storage underneath without the screed? cheers for the replys lads
