  1. Should we have a THL whip round? Seriously tho, I hope they catch the feckers! It must of been a terrible ordeal to go thru, and having been in a similar position myself I no it will stay with him and his family for life.
  2. When I first read about the attack I was fuming and asked our lass to send some money by PayPal, then I went ferreting and promptly forgot all about it. I came back on the thread about a week later and saw that things wernt quite as they first seemed and asked the mrs if she had sent the money, she hadn't because I didn't give her the PayPal adress. So I never bothered in the end.
  3. I fancy trying to have a go at laying some of the hedges at my parents house, can anyone recommend a decent billhook and maybe a good book to get the basics from? Cheers ant
  4. Good news when I got home today is she's got a job offer! So the sale may be on hold now sorry lads. Just Gotta wait for a start date and a pay date and we will see how it goes. Cheers for the help tho, (might still sell the ultra, I like it, but it's not an s410)
  5. It would totally devalue everybody, everybody would end up on the same wage, as anybody could do anything. Or it would be that expensive that only the rich could afford it, the rich would get richer and poor would get poorer
  6. Sounds like I'll split it then lol cheers lads
  7. Oh this isn't a for sale post btw lol when I decide how much to sell for, it will go in the for sale section
  8. Well lads, after the mrs being out of work since October we've now had an unexpected bill and somethings Gotta go! I've got a BSA ultra se multi shot nearly new and with only about 100-150 shots fired, with a sak mod, topped with a Yukon photon (the older one) and a full 12ltr dive bottle with whip gauge and filling adapter with 5 years test. I'm going to have to sell it unfortunately but I'm unsure what's a reasonable price for it all as a package? Is £800 to much? I need it gone ASAP but don't want to give it away! What's it worth do you think? Thanks ant

  16. One fatality so far apparently http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-england-oxfordshire-35543274
  17. I think that's a no no mate, I'd happily deal with the waste myself but I think as they are all tagged and therefore registered with defra I need to be able to prove where they have gone, and back it up with a paper trail if needs be? So if I did say that they were slaughtered at home, I'd need to prove the waste was disposed of properly. If it was just one I suppose I could just write "lost" in the flock book lol but there's 5 to do, and if I did get inspected I don't no if they'd believe me
  18. hi all, I know a few people on here have done the home kill thing for there own consumption and im just wondering how you get rid of the class 1 animal waste? from what I can gather I need to keep the head, tonsils and spine separate and dye them blue, and then dispose of them as class 1 animal waste? (whats that?) do I take them to the tip and tell them what it is? or do I need to take it somewhere special? everything else I don't use can just be incinerated from what ive read and I can do that myself, its just the other bits that's confusing me. im talking last years soay lambs by the way no
