  2. cheers mate, yeah i have heard of a bedlington x whippet, was just wondering about this bellington as i have seen 2 or 3 adds with this name on it,thought it a bit weird that more than 1 advert had this spelling error, does it sound like a good lurcher for ferreting, cheers john
  3. seen this on an advert for pups( both parents can be seen mother bellington whippet very fast bitch father bull weaton hound x whippet hound ) i tried to google bellington whippet but no joy,i have never heard of this type of dog was wondering if it was a misprint for bedlington, maybe someone on here with a little know how can put me straight on this.cheers john
  4. i would put the dog on the lead and just walk it as close to stock as possible, whenever it shows an interest just correct it with a sharp tug on the lead and a firm no,keep this up until you feel it has the desired effect, hope this helps

  6. i have a 50yrd quickset for ferreting, that would be enough for me,i will be using it at night also, why not get a 50yrd + 25 yrd instead of 3 25 yrd then you have the best of both.hope this helps atb my net + basket came from jbs nets cheers but i think i might go for 3x25 as it a bit more versatile like. i was told master hunter is the place to go is he on this site ? no problem,it's what ever suits you,i have heard of master-hunter and he comes with a good name, here is the web site............. www.masterhunter.co.uk here are the prices 50 yd length 4z £135.00 <LI>50

  15. i will be getting a lurcher soon and would like a few pointers . i would be looking for a dog to work during the day out ferreting, ideally the dog wouldn't be to large as i have 2 cockers at home aswell,i take my little cocker bitch out ferreting with me and she will bush, mark holes and hold a rabbit down in the net but she has no chance of catching any that get away,i have never owned a lurcher before so any advice is greatly appreciated. atb
