  1. must be a hell of a lot round your way?
  2. I have one now about 6yrs, all in I payed about 3000 euros, I burn turf (peat) and timber and it heats 10 rads, wouldn't be without it.
  3. thanks ss, is the monarch number that I would contact him on? this is some of the ground I stalk on,
  4. The Monach ones are very good. One of them is said to be for Sika's. Personally sometimes just looking at a fallow after shooting one breaks me out in a sweat i dont think i will ever be putting one on my back. We only have fallow and reds around here and I'm not putting a red on my back what sort of size fallow you looking to carry ?..gralloched out , head and feet of even the prickets are 70lb ..3year olds are 90 ..100lb . dragging them is bad enough ..makes my back ache thinking about it .. . I shot a 3 yr old the other day, although I didn't weigh it, I would say he was top end of 80l

  6. I was looking at the large ones on the monarch website, for £100 they look good value? if it makes my life a bit easier then it will be money well spent.
  7. cheers yokel matt, I have a 4x4 but a few of the places I stalk are only accessable on foot, I usually strap the front legs and the back legs together and throw them on my back like a rucksack but it does pain the shoulders a bit as all the weight is on them, would a roe sack split the weight between the shoulders and waist?
  8. can anyone recommend a roe sack that would be big enough to hold a fallow, I have been looking at a few on-line but they only mention about carrying roe, muntjac or cwd, is there one that would carry a fallow?
  9. hi folks, havn't been on for a while as I have been busy with work and dogs ect, anyway I have a chance to buy a bit of land(if the price is right), it is a long strip of land that has road frontage (country road) and leads down onto the shore of a lake, at the bottom end there is about 3 acres of woodland which hold fallow deer from time to time and the other 4 acres is semi rushy fields, I have intended on buying the land for an investment maybe when I retire or leaving it to my children, If I do buy, then I wouldn't want to leave it lying idle doing feck all, if any of you had a chance t
  10. if you are trying them at 14-18mths old and they are ALL jacking, then that tells you that you are testing them to early.
  11. I think that's why the board chose the current manager, young, inexperienced and quite happy to be stepping onto the next rung of his career ladder, which means he will pretty much do as he is told when it comes to transfer money.
  12. I really think the Celtic board have got it all wrong this that few years, OK they are doing well buisness wise but on the field they are starting to suffer, we sold 2 of our best players in wanyama and hooper, never got replaced and it was on the cards since last season that Forster was leaving, so who do they get in then, Craig Gordon who hadn't played a competitive game for 2 years due to injury, with the rangers being down where they are, that was the time to really boot in, its just not good enough winning the league, they need champions league football, its time the board put their hands
  13. When i do bike exercise with my dogs, i do the 1st half mile at a steady walking pace just to warm them up, then i will cycle along at a steady 10mph(i have a speedo) every so often i start peddling faster so the dogs have to sprint to keep up with me, then slow back down to 10mph, i do this throughout the 5 miles with a steady walking pace again for the last half mile, a 5 minute rub down when we get back to the van, i only do this every 2nd day.
  14. Would that mean the bidder below that wins then? Not a nice thing to do either, no doubt they will have an excuse.
  15. No gem not going, although it does look a cracking event.
  16. I havnt tried putting it up yet walshie but the lad i bought it of said it took him around 1 hour, i think it might take me double that to start with lol.
