Its a big problem in our small island Aaron,we just dont have the amount of land you have in the USA,and our sport relies on the landowners confidence in a no fuss profesional job,including a good backfill job,the experianced lads know how hard it is to gain the permission and how easy it is to lose,personally i would back fill even if it was in the middle of the Arizona desert in a spot that had never seen a human footprint,better to put the ground right and have another days sport in the same spot the season after,theres no better critic of a bad "backfill" than a fox.Why cut your odds down

no disrespect,but it doesnt take an Eel 10yrs per pound. you are correct,they are on a major decline unfortunately.I have targeted the Eels for around 20 plus years and feel the elver fisherman and imigrants taking all they catch away to feed their fellow blood relations as they do all other species! Rats are more common,why not eat them No problem Earth,im just quoting what ive read,im no eel "expert" but it must take a while for eels to reach specimen weights,nobody would kill a 30lb Carp or 15lb Barbel,i just think eels deserve the same respect,personally i would rather fish fo

Dont want to start any arguments lads but the Eel is in serious decline in British waters,efforts are being made to rectify this by the fisheries people,for instance elvers are being released and elver fishing licences are being bought out. Its estimated that for an Eel to reach 5lb it takes a minimum of 75 yrs,so even a 2 pounder is probably 20+ yrs old,personally i dont kill any Eels but to kill a specimen is sacrelidge in my book,fish for them by all means but treat them with the respect they deserve and release anything over a pound,just my personal opinion. atb steve.

My usual one is tin cans or bottles in clumps of grass.Ive lamped my share of bricks aswell.No idea were the fish came from. I used to do some terrier work in Derbyshire near a carp fishing pond,i found a few carp half eaten and some buried in the area near the pond,think the foxes were taking them at night from the margins? none of them wieghed more than a pound though.

But does breeding lurcher to lurcher not increase the chances of undesirable qualities as well? With a first cross you know what your getting, for example you want the speed from the greyhound and the coat, brains, stamina and general ruggedness from the collie (wether you get them the right way round is a chance in its self) But imagine this You breed a beddy/whippet X collie /grey sire with a saluki/grey x bull greyhound bitch. The IVO is a German cow medicine,it kills everything,worms,fleas and vets use it to treat demedectic as well as sarcoptic mange,but as stated some dogs do have allergic reactions to it,dont use on collies or their x's but any dog could react badly.

My dads dad was a poacher,had a smallholding bred gamefowl,fought for money and various other things i wont mention,he died before i knew him,although he taught me to walk so im told. Well after checking the results for Rotherham no wonder labour keep getting in,population 250,000 [take the under 18 percentage off] number of voters who turned out 37,000,bet your arse every muslim voted labour,when will people learn? So a lot of you think the tories will do better? who benefits most from cheap labour? dont take much working out does it. Fact is none of them will resolve the immigrant issue and the tories will make things much worse because they will still bring in cheap labour and not spend properly on the extra health care and services we need to support that.
