    As a Native American, I can tell you the Europeans didn't do anything that we hadn't already been doing. Had a poor crop this year ? Let's head North take it from the Iroquois .     Mostly a good thread Rio,enjoyed the vids and sensible comments. Never had a Saluki hybrid but after seeing Dells perform locally i wouldnt have to think hard about it.

    Well im not tatally disagreeing with SGS,if hes part native indian he has every right to be there,my original comment was about the prick who made the vid,who actually owns America? Not the people who came from Europe and stole it from the indians thats for sure,funny how its these people that now make the laws that govern America,a bit like Australia making the aboriginies swear an oath to gain citizenship when they have been there for 25,000 yrs. Just seems hypocritical to steal a country and then dictate who can and can not live in it?

    That sounds fair enough if you have that type of ground to work and the bigger dogs can get there no problem,i wouldnt call an 18lb dog "wee" though,lol, an 18lb terrier on most of the land we hunted would be a strong dog. Ive entered a 14" terrier medium build,dug to it to find its nowhere near and entered a small bitch for her to go another 5 or 6 yds down to the fox,we got a lot from scraped out rabbit earths,hardly much bigger than a rabbit warren as Donny said.

    I think a lot of this big dog thing started when small game dogs became hard to find,size has little to do with it if you have the right dog,the best allround terrier ive ever seen was very small and shyed from nothing,more emphasis seems to be put on gameness these days,no matter how much damage these bull x terrier types take. A bigger stronger dog can be very useful we kept the odd one ourselves,but for no messing about one hole fox digging the little ones win hands down if you have good ones imo.

    Just bought a good one from Wickes,a trenching type blade welded into a long steel shaft,im going to shorten the shaft and weld a peice of the offcut back on as a handle,bit of messing about but should last a lifetime,£24.

    good eel that is steveS..have you ever had them that size before? even though i target them,often when ive had a decent fish on,i have wondered if id hooked something else as the fight is unbelievable Yes mate ive had bigger ones and they do fight well,i can ussually tell if its an eel ive hooked,the double bump as they swim backwards is a giveaway. The son in law fishes for carp on the A1 pits regularly and hes seen a couple of 5lb eels caught accidentally lately,got to be worth a few serious sessions on there.

    I did saturday night on the A1 pits and managed a 3lb EeL,i didnt originally intend to fish the ponds but had a few lobbies with me so had a bash when i couldnt get on the river,im definatly going back tooled up for them properly in the near future.

    When i worked in Germany i lived with a couple of Irish lads,the mistrust was obvious at the start,after a short while we became good mates and all came to realise we had the same enemies,its more about the have and have nots than anything else,time ordineary lads like us wake up to this fact,we cant change whats happened but we can see it doesnt happen again.

    Looks like the fox is dead to me? note the dogs head is blurred,so its moving,if it was moving away from a striking fox the foxes head would be blurred as well i would have thought,so i doubt shes botteling anything,look at its back legs "splayed" its brown bread with its snout tip on the ground.

    Well your post does seem a little suspicious but i think you might just be a bit green? Your dogs wont be in any real danger of catching anything from foxes if they are vaccinated,rabies isnt present in the UK so your dogs cant catch that either,dogs that have close contact with foxes sometimes pick up sarcoptic mange[dog scratches a lot and develops red/then bald patchs if not treated]i used to have a barrel with a weak solution of sheep dip and dip the terriers a few times during the season. The best thing as somebody else said is read other posts and try and pick out the common sense,

    I think rick is right "put it behind us and move on" theres been enough killings between natives of our islands,we should try and bury the hatchet and stand together against our real enemy,sooner or later were going to have to. As for these extremists? why are they allowed to do it? round them up and send them back to an islamic shithole if they like them so much,at least then one of our soldiers might get a chance to shoot the c**ts.

    Well i kind of like the look of Bob,mayebe as someone said earlier it could be better health wise to have a cross? Maybe breeding lab/poodles as gundogs could be a good idea? I dont really care whats in my dogs as long as they do a reasonable job of it,recently made up my mind i wouldnt have another purebred dog,bitsa's from now on.

    Natural behaviour mate,sharp clip on the nose immediatly and problem should be over in a day or two,if not the dog has a mental problem,but its extremely rare.
