Just as I thought you've pissed him off, forget about training for awhile, give him lots of fuss, you need to rebuild the bond and regain his confidence, some dogs just can't take a bollocking, all reprimand has to be tailored to the individual dog. What is a slight reprimand for one dog can ruin another.

Like others, last feed night before, and you don't want to be giving a dog sugar, it's not good for them, and it will give the dog a brief high energy level,followed by a longer lasting slump in energy.

Thats right poach back in the day we never had suburu's and the like...........stealth is the name of the game Thats right lads, the idea was to outwit the game, the land owner,keeper and police, without them ever knowing you were there. Thats were the satisfaction comes from. It's just not the same on permision .

Not many making Hawks/Buteo's to the Hood these days over here! most seem to do fine without them. personaly Hooding is the only way I know with a Parent Reared Hawk! it benefits me and the hawk expecially in the early stages... Cheers Always make mine to the hood , find it invaluable. Mike.

I'm a 58 year old Romany and I've never nicked a dog in my life ! Had a few nicked in all that time, though oddly enough always by your kind.

Hi and welcome mate, I fly and breed a few Harris hawks, I love 'em. Mine are just coming out of the moult, got one female on a couple of kills, the other male and female I haven't picked up yet. Also got a second clutch in the aviary at 12 weeks so soon be ready for sale. Keep the pics coming . Mike.

I had a pair , they split after six weeks, took them back and got a new pair, they split in 5 weeks so give up and never looked at a pair since.

Kin hell mate, I really feel for you, I've had dogs nicked in the past, and to be honest I'd rather them die, at least you know where they are. The basts want gutting ! Keep your chin up, Mike.
