  1. Yer, I think you are right Dan, I'm not really aiming to be working on a mega shoot, with a hundred thousand birds. Just somewhere I can be employed fulltime, earn a decent enough wage, and just crack on with it.
  2. Haymin - You Scots are ok. . . . but we gotta watch these English. We need a few rules. . . . last time we let them in, they took over the country and banned our language.
  3. Aye, the way it's looking. . . . . . we're trying to find a place to found a nation, rather than a campsite
  4. Thanks for all of the advice so far lads, it's much appreciated
  5. He could have just said it was an anti fieldsports jab from channel 4. But no . . . . it's racism against white folk
  6. It's amusing. But if they catch away from you they just f****d off up the bale stack and sat there hissing at you But they turn like feck
  7. RM - Once we've got the numbers, we have to find the place to camp. Think we've got the water picked. But finding camping for 30 + noisy blokes by the river in the wye valley during peak tourist season will be tricky. So we have to pull in a few favours and have a search. Hopefully we will know within the next few weeks
  8. Lurcherman - that reminds me, once lamped rats and mice in a mates barn as kids, with their two cats. . . . for a laugh. Really good fun, but the game kind of ends once they catch one Unless you're in there quick.
  9. Seen terriers catch on the lamp and collies. . . I did try it with my hound. . . . . . . As yet.. . . . we've blanked
  10. Aye, some dogs are just mental. It's the kind that will jump off a bridge into a fast flowing river, because a duck just floated down. . . . . or jump out of moving vehicles etc. Every time my little b*****d tried to play tag with some of the local forests residents. . . I wonder when he will decide that being kicked and knocked to f**k isn't appealing any more
  11. I think there is a difference between a dog that tries hard and a dog that doesn't give a f**k. lol.
  12. I've got a hound who is the same, not in her box, but likes to piss inside the sleeping area (beside her box) rather than out in the run like the other dogs. I guess some are just dirty b*****ds!
  13. Funnily enough . . . . yes. But don't worry, Ow will stand guard against the black panther all night
  14. Primary School Teachers. . . . . you canny f***ing trust em!
  15. Fawn lurcher with long ears? SALUKI X. Hedge trimmers etc stolen. . . . . ? Begins with P.
  16. Kamikaze? Reckless? Driven? Accident prone? As Bosun said, they kind of blur and mix up, and whilst meaning similar, they don't quite mean the same thing. You get plenty of reckless dogs, that don't quite fit the kamikaze bill, as they usually walk away unscathed, and like has been said, there are accident prone dogs, that just seem to get broken from nothing. I think I've got a pretty reckless dog here, probably kamikaze fits the bill well enough. He's certainly driven, and at times most definatly accident prone! It's great to watch at times, but it wears thin after a while. After
  17. Take her out for a shit as regular as you can and praise her when she goes outside.
  18. You are pretty much spot on. If I'm just out for a wee mooch, it's fine, as I'm more there for the hunt, than the catch. So, one runner is fine, and to be honest, he hunts very well, so he's more part of the pack, rather than just waiting to run. However, you'd be surprised how well he does, as he's used to working with them, so knows where to put himself. A lot of the time he's hunting up with the hound and terriers, so when something lifts in front of them in the woodland, he will just try to steam ahead and run it down. Obviously if doing covers, he's sometimes unlucky on his pi
  19. Aye, maybe I should just be the independent adjudicator?
