  3. As i said mate, its difficult to get them to go back in once some :wankerzo4: has released them, i had to go down to putting live bait into the traps, even then they were still being released by some so ended up shooting during the night best of luck, Wullie.
  4. Very nice set up mate hope you christen them this weekend with a few kills
  5. Just thought i would put my penny's worth in before you can shoot on Forestry ground or lease ground in Scotland, you must hold DSC 1&2 and your hygiene is put to the test in your level 2, as for the plucks when you have your DSC 2 you do the Inspections ect, saving the game dealer time, if you find anything suspect you have to report it as other people have stated in reply's before this one, I know this because me and the guy's in our syndicate had to do 1&2 because we lease ground from Forestry commision or did, dont anymore
  6. I used the same trap we just bought them in at the time :lazy: [pest control] i was trapping foxes in a bowling green and had the same problem do-gooders letting them out then the problem is trying to get them to go back into the trap ended up just going in with the .22 Rimmy and sorted the problem best of luck mate.

  13. Well done mate looks like a nice beast, know what you mean about wind changing in woodland stalking like being in a tumble dryer all over the place, as you said you can only go very slowly and glass every 5 steps or so because how many time have you see a big white arse going thought the wood, another one that seen you first or smell'd you
  14. Nice one mate whan you find wood pigeons here just now there could be 500 in the field after you get a shot, you could sit for hours and they dont come back, strange up here and at this time of the year its always the same, but the geese are another story you can sit in the hide with the decoy's out and batter them all day.
  15. Cheer's mate, it only started snowing here yesterday and its not that bad only got about 3", one of my shooting buddies who only stay's 20 miles from me if it is that, he has got about 12"[not boasting] honest this is not a porn site! LOL. but it is still snowing just now, Mark how do you find the Roe's react in the snow? do you find the same as me they dont venture to far from woods and shelter?
  16. well done mate. do you find stalking in the snow hard? To tell you the truth i just stumbled on that one just a bit of luck, was after Charlie! what i find up here is they dont like getting their backs wet, when its raining or snowing or even a hard frost they seam to just stay in the woods or just at the edges dont venture out that far from shelter, but i am a bit of a lazy bugger i can sit at a bit for hours if i have seen some evidance and just wait, i prefer the weather to be "no rain" but the children up here are born with web feet!LOL that will give you an idea of the weather, its ve

  19. Went for a drive once the snow had eased off a bit down to the estate where i shoot, scanned area above the loch at the Damwall end down into the valley and spotted Charlie a good distance away, got back into the 4x4 and headed down to where i had seen Charlie, no where to be seen, walked up beside the hedgerow were it was and could see it's tracks as it had headed up towards the plantation at the top of the hill, back down to the 4x4 and went round to the top of the hill and spotted Charlie going back down to where i had been [taking the piss] just then a Roe Doe jumped the fence next to me d
  20. Nice one Mark! or two! going out a walk this afternoon, heavy snow fall just now.
  21. Hi Ross could you tell me is the ground you on at the moment is it rented from private owner? or forestry? could be interested if its available? Black Lab I might know of a bit of ground available near LochLomond if thats near where you shoot. Red, Roe and some Sika. Its about 3,000 acres. Have you got experience in deer management. Its quite hilly but there are tracks all over the ground so you can get the deer out ok. But you will still need to be quite fit. Lots of bits of new plantings so the deer will have to be kept in check. The owner is an ardent Celtic man so it will help i
