Yep I have put a lot mor time in this week as i had a car crash so no work he's becoming very steady now he's maturing a bit , just got to crack his socialising with staffy type dogs as he ain't into them should have that sorted next two days then I can let him go more round here without worrying , thanks

  6. Yep make sure plenty of air in the summer I put a big heavy dog bowl in and three times or twice a day fill it with ice cold water they love it I had to run a few under the cold tap last summer as they had fainted did the trick

If it's your jills first season chances are you maybe diGing to them next season my jill didn't kill in on her first winter of work but the next September she was like a diferent ferret she's an old warhorse now she's had a few kicks to the head this season and acouple of nasty cuts to , it just seems to ad to her hunger for stuborn rabbits trouble is finding a hob with the same pasion for the job to put over her this spring I know of one but it's a fair drive , but to look at her you wouldn't think she was such a grafter , my mates jill through the towel in with stuborn rabbits but this jill
  8. When I was your age I was out gardening or washing cars in the local area to get pocket money we did ok out of it to you'd only need to do a few hours on a Saturday just go and knock some doors

Hi all I ventured out last Saturday for the first time since my car crash , I went to a garden not to far from me that has about 7 good sized warrens in it and you wouldn't presume you were in a garden as it so rural , my young ferrets decided to mess about so it was down to my old girl to get stuck in , first warren was hard work but once the rabbits started coming I was ok by the second one I must confess for the first time this season after a dig I droped the rabbit doh , I was out fir the day with a newbie wanting to learn the ropes so was nice to have company and to help someone into the

Need some advise I've got a couple of last summers ferrets had them out Saturday and they didn't seem that interested I know there showing sighns of nearlly coming into there first breeding season could this be afactor??, thing is the hob at the start of season looked very promising and I had to dig to him and had marks of six foot. , the jill last time out cleared a warren single handed of 6 or 7 rabbits yet Saturday when my older jill was still down clearing rabbits she showed and lost interest ?   18. Put them in the garden together for a run around but some jills can just be bitches comes down to pecking order if there both dominent might not jell
  19. On the day I go ferreting all they get that evening is liver heart and kidneys and a bit of fat from around the kidneys from the rabbits if I can it's meat all the way but dry in the summer with meat inbetween and liver kidney on ocasions
