  1. Rez if the lad has an open certificate, and he deems it safe to shoot that is fine, if his cert is conditioned to land passed safe for the calibre only, you would be breaking the law, or at least he would, even if he has an open cert, I personally would advise against using it in the garden, perhaps take him along to one of your permissions, if the landowner is happy for you to do so and shoot to your hearts content.
  2. Bargain that Dan, if I needed a .22-250 I would have that in a flash, excellent rifles these, good luck with the sale, someone is getting a real bargain.
  3. If I want a Pheasant for the pot and I am on land where I am allowed to take them, which is pretty much all my permissions bar a couple, then I will take one simple as that, a head or neck shot is really the only shot to take,as hitting a vital organ with a tiny pellet is very hit and miss, and I would suggest 8/10 would be runners, but a head or neck shot kills instantly.
  4. Should help mr Trump with his campaign Im sure.
  5. Although Falcon will deny it, the early design is the same as the Titan range of excellent air rifles, Falcon I believe bought Titan and changed the name, I had a Titan and an early falcon, both very good rifles, build quality is superb, a pal has a Titan bearcat carbine,it is about 24 years old and has never been re-sealed and it shoots superbly, I like the separate cocking lever, it means you can have the rifle loaded, but totally safe and uncocked until you want to shoot, then a quick flick of the finger and its cocked.
  6. The power is adjustable on a gas ram, however Foxtails, you need to test the rifle with a number of different pellets, and find its maximum output, because if the police take it and test it they will use a variety to try and get it to go over the limit, for instance, lets say its doing 11ftlbs with H&N field target trophy, it may well go over the limit with Bisley magnums, as an example, so take it to a gunshop, get it tested, find its max output, if its well below the limit doing its maximum, then ask the gunshop to adjust the power a little closer to the limit, if its doing around 11ftlb
  7. The whole of Europe will erupt in violence in the coming years, and the scum that have let these vermin in only have themselves to blame.
  8. I actually feel sorry for young lads now, they will never have the freedom that I had as a youth, we would wander miles with the air rifles often out all day and sometimes all night as well if we decided to camp out, ok we went places we had no real right to go, but we never did any harm, we would have the odd rabbit etc, and get shouted at from time to time, by some farmer, who was fat too busy to chase us, the age of the mobile phone has killed it now, a quick call from a busy body and the helicopter is hovering above, but its not all doom and gloom, I still meet young lads from time to time
  9. As above, very tidy mk 1 box, and almost new 8ft micro collar for sale, both with batteries, and in full working order, £90 posted or pick up South Yorkshire (Sheffield) cheers.
  10. As above, in decent condition, (stock could do with a laquer,) interesting little hammer gun that shoots very well, flat rib which enhances accuracy, comes with some 16 gauge shells and a gunslip, it hardly ever gets used, and I could do with the cabinet space to be honest, built like a tank with excellent bores, face to face sale, pick up from Sheffield, will put some pics up later, £75.00 cash gets it, cheers.Certificate holders only obviously.
  11. Total agree, my Anschutz 1417 is a great gun and delivers a .22 sub in side a 10p coin at 25 yards. However, my HW100 can easily shoot through the same hole at 25 yards and in calm conditions hit a 5p at 50 yards. Well mate my cz 511 semi auto can do that 10p coin group at 75 yards off a bipod no sweat with Eley subs, seriously mate have you thought about trying some different ammo, because a rifle with a quality match barrel like your Anschutz (I used to own the same rifle) has the potential for seriously good groups.
  12. Cracking wildfowling gun these, and thats not a bad price mate, good luck with the sale.
  13. My mate the Seeker on here has a 10/22 he has done a trigger job on it which I would say is essential, but with Eley subs it is spit accurate, he headshot 2 rabbits over the weekend both at around -100 yards, he misses very little with it, the mag needs to be kept clean and it cycles spot on, get one and enjoy, but pay for a trigger job on it, it will transform it, the other altenative is a CZ 511 which I have got, cracking reliable and super accurate semi, or its new replacement, the CZ 512.
  14. Surely as the old boy suggests,if the head is "loose" in the barrel, then using a smaller headsize pellet would exacerbate the problem??? so logic would dictate using a larger headsize surely, or simply trying some different pellets altogether, as that may be the problem all along.
  15. No to be honest, Welsh Willy used to sell them and he raved about them, they are full power, and meant to be incredibly accurate, which given the superb barrels CZ make is not surprising.
  16. What they have done is fitted a delrin rod under a bit of spring pressure into the cocking arm, it does work, but I have heard one or two still sound a bit rough on cocking, mine were fine, but then I did do a complete de-burr and polished everything that could be polished, Tom have a look at the CZ mate, about 200 Euros from over the sea, brand new, and I really like the look of them, reminds me of the superb FWB sport.
  17. Just to add, at some point, I am going to try a CZ 634 Slavia, I have always heard brilliant things about these rifles, and out of the box the piston runs on synthetic bearings, and knowing how good CZ powder burners are, I have a 511 .22 semi auto, and had a 527 .22 hornet, I dont think it will disappoint.
