  1. Is there anything I might be doing wrong or not feeding enough of, that contributes to dandruff in dogs? Mine probably don't get as much veg as some peoples dogs on here do, their coats are shiny and they look well with plenty of energy, but when I brush the beddy x's out they both seem to have a fair bit of flaky skin... Any advice will be gratefully received! Cheers Sniffer
  2. Me too! Wheels and an engine for me, been thrown off a couple too many times and I don't land as lightly as I did back then, poxy horse shying away at a plastic bag the last time!
  3. Ideations whip for me, works well, fine stamp, nicely mannered...
  4. You seriously think this will STOP animal abuse? As for "doing something I shouldnt be" Well there aint a lot left I can do legally now is there, since the government has made it all criminal and taken away my freedom to hunt even though I was hurting nobody. You seem to think Its alright to punish me because others are irresponsible. You seem to have taken that a bit personally, which is unnecessary. As for animal abuse of coarse it won't stop it, that's why I didn't mention that. By 'duty of care' I mean its our duty to take care of our animals as best we seem fit... We are all in the
  5. I get that part, but accidents can happen... They are just that, you'd be seriously unlucky to be reprimanded on that alone. I get it's a ball ache if they could follow you up and keep an eye on you etc. but just keep your nose clean and stay on permission, then there isn't a problem. Checking new ground should be done with consent from the land owner although dogs will go over hedges etc. in pursuit, but being on the boundary is one thing, being way beyond is a different kettle of fish...
  6. Sorry, I've missed something here, license fee's? What license?
  7. Surely it's a duty of care thing if you chip your dogs, just another way of increasing the chances of your dogs being returned if lost. I've always had mine done as pups, I'm a little more curious as to why you wouldn't though? Is it just incase your dog is doing something it shouldn't be? Or is because the government are telling you that you have to and you just don't like being dictated to? Genuinely curious not trying to ruffle feathers... Also do you think microchipping would be compulsory if it weren't for the minority of nobs out there that don't look after their animals properly, do get
  8. So had a call earlier on today and by some miracle like stroke of luck, the pup is being picked up this evening. They ran more bloods on her today and they have come back good, she's howling to get out of the vets and started to nibble on her food... She isn't out of the woods yet and she will have to be closely monitored but things are certainly looking a lot brighter for her... It turns out it was the lads mother, not mother in law too... I must of miss heard that bit... Fingers crossed now that it has no long term effects on her... Cheers
  9. He does have kids buddy and I've got to be honest I've done exactly the same too, which makes me think! So easy to scoff a couple of paracetamol in the morning with a cup of tea before work and scat them down on the side by the kettle, not thinking of anything other than your headache.... I've not heard anything from the lad at this point and I'm kind of dreading giving him a shout to be honest, I'll drop him a text in a minute when I can find my phone!!! Oh, I also think she's probably beating herself more than anyone else is at this point. I know what you mean though it's still negligent..
  10. I know the lad well enough roybo, I think he was clutching at straws to see if there was any other possible problem. I have no doubt that the paracetamol is the problem to the kidneys and the pup is on a drip, so rather than getting the pup to my vets I figured she'd be better off where she is to. I guess we'll see by the end of the day how she's getting on... Such an easy mistake to make, I bet the mother in law is absolutely gutted...
  11. Piss! I was hoping for perhaps at least one positive outcome... Poor sod is absolutely gutted, what the hell was the vet on about too, with it not being linked...
  12. Just had a call from one of the lads that had a pup from me, he was obviously a bit distraught as his pup had eaten a pack of paracetamol overnight left out by the mother in law on the side of the work top. The pup was in the vets on a drip so it's in the best place. The vet has said that the pup's kidneys are failing but that isn't anything to do with the paracetamol and that it must be an inherent problem with the breeding, I assured him him that there are no problems with either the dog or the bitch nor any of the other pups to my knowledge, but said I'd have a look into it. First port of c
  13. I never had you down as a fluff chucker mate, I could take you out for an evening next time you're down...
  14. Shit buddy, you ain't having s good run of it! Dogs, they'll break you for sure, have me and many better man than I! These kind of things make the good times all the more sweet though and that's what we do it for.... Rip

  16. I'll take you around there or get him out for the next walk, she's cracking!!!
  17. My 1st x beddy whip works well in cover when she knows/thinks there is something there, but would be outclassed by a good spaniel x terrier any day! Great little dogs, just depends how much you want to catch and how much you want to chase...
  18. You would soon feel the pain doing that with 30+ rabbits ... Not to mention how long it would take ........faster than using a knife mate, but some bucks are tough lol No way is that method faster than a knife mate ....... To be fair, you go like f@ck with a knife!!!
  19. This is Penny she was the smallest of the litter and the one that we kept, she's a little sod!!! And finally Fly...
  20. Thought I would share a few photo's as I have kept in touch with everybody who has had a pup. I was really lucky to have all the pups go to really good homes, some close, some far but all really decent people that send me the odd picture and let me know how they are going... Jess Archie Forest This is Nigel! Nigel gets a bit car sick..... Tilly This pup is my dads and it's a klonker!!! There was 2 pups like this, both bitch's, the pup in the first picture Jess was built the same. Archie and Nigel were very similar too...
