  1. Those spring stabilizers interest me more than the tunnels. Wonder where they can be got. Yes killer clips could be used, but those ones look a handy job.
  2. Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but think this is what micky is using Fourteenacre | BodyGrip 'Cubby' Tunnel WWW.FOURTEENACRE.CO.UK Purpose designed tunnels fulfil the two essential requirements for use with bodygrip traps; Coated with a brown...
  3. As I was reading your post, I was wondering how that "TRAP" worked ??
  4. Personally, I always use one even though it is not written in law. It is recommended mind, so to cover myself I use them. I don't want to be in that position, where I have to convince a judge, that I haven't been careless, or broken any laws regarding wildlife.
  5. Very interesting thread lads. Aside from mole and rabbit traps, were there many small vermin traps invented, post gin trap ban?
  6. They come in useful for tight spots micky. Mightn't be as versatile in UK, because everything has to be covered by a tunnel.
  7. Brilliant story that. I suppose I would have went down the whole road of collecting old traps, but they are hard come by over here, and in recent years the idea of importing traps is o say the least, dodgy.
  8. Speaking of old traps. Isn't there a little "trap" museum somewhere in Ireland? Not that Ireland has any traps to claim as their own ?
  9. What do you not like about them?
  10. OK so my post was obviously said with tongue in cheek, but tell me Greyman, why would anyone with a true passion for these big cats, and the idea of their existence in the UK, give any statement to any newspapers? It does nothing for their cause, and makes them look like complete fools. I'm not talking about the idiots who take a photo of a cardboard cut out, but folks like you, who really believe they are out there. Would you give a statement, if you were asked by the papers, using your knowledge on big cats, to confirm what was in a picture to be the real deal?
  11. Come on now lads. The experts say its a big cat. Twenty five years studying them, I think they know what they are talking about.
  12. A I think they didn't really think that one through, when they were writing the book
  13. How close is too close??
  14. Any sign of a male with her lad? Usually the dog stays with her if theirs young cubs
  15. Interesting and equally strange watch
  16. A bit more to this type of box, but easy enough work out the measurements. This would keep birds out for sure
  17. Can't get much simpler than this
  18. I have them on most my bodygrips. Might not make a difference for squirrels or rats, but some mink will shy away from the usual trigger. Also, a mink will try pop through that hole, resulting in a good solid catch.
  19. Same spring and hight as a 110
  20. As much evidence as there is for big cats
  21. Coon dog too, or is that somewhere else?
  22. According to some, there are pics in the pipeline. The "experts" will say, there are thousands of big cats roaming the British countryside. How do they come to that conclusion, with little to no irrefutable evidence of their existence?
  23. It has to be questioned, until real evidence is shown. Those who don't question it, are simply fooling themselves.
