Got to agree with this as l started using Linux 9 months ago during our degrees final year project as l was setting up a website and wanted to use Linux as the operating system to install Apache web server on. I got an old comp from my mate that had been consigned to the attic for the last 5 years and load up times are about the same as my 2k comp running windows 7! During my college project l never got to play around with Linux as we also had to develop our website but the server went tits up 2 a month ago and l had to reinstall Linux but this time l had a really thorough play with it and l a

Thanks for your answers guys. The reason for my confusion about were my permission ends is due to how far the boundary fence is from the road (4-5 meters). for instance on my own croft my old man fenced it off about 50 yards parallel from the road but its still my land down to the road upto a certain distance (I was told that the relevant authority has jurisdiction for upto 15 feet from the centre of the highway). My next door neighbour fenced his croft upto a yard from the road so hence l think that my permission could extend outwith the boundary fence between the permission and road. I t

If a crofts boundary fence ends 4-5 meters away from a main road, does anyone know if l would be legal shooting on the road side of the fence? Although it is a main road it is still very quiet and l know about the shooting 50 yard/foot rule from a highway but doesn't that only matter if you prove a distraction to other drivers? I am unsure of where the roads verge would begin and my permission ends... The reason l am asking is that this croft has a hill on it which starts about 100 yards from the road and my quarry (geese) are always in the area between the foot of the hill and the road an

Thanks mate. On the job front there are 45 new jobs being advertised this week for the trading standards call centre in the local paper but before that there was literally nothing, lm quite happy with the job l got at the Equateq factory. Its literally below my house lol. Iv'e been told its only 3 12 hour shifts a week which suits me fine! Its funny but it feels like your life is on hold as it where when you are jobless as spending money goes out the window so certain things keep on being put off. cheers Callum

Never replaced a screen on an HP laptop before but replacement screens can be bough off eBay for around £60. http://www.ebay.co.u...-All-Categories and this video will be of help with replacing the screen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nALcYwgVCZk Bit more to it than the laptops l fixed before but you'd have nothing to lose by giving it a go anyway! cheers Callum
-
Its really as simple as unscrewing 8 screws (4 for the laptop lid which are usually hidden under the lids rubber plugs/legs and 4 for the screen itself) and unplugging the old screen and then putting the new one in and putting it back together again. You might have to prize the front and back of the laptops lid apart gently to get to the insides of the screen. What's the make and model of your laptop mate? cheers Callum

Buy a new screen for it mate gotta be cheaper than buying a new laptop. Iv'e replaced screens on a few laptops myself, nothing much to it cheers Callum

One thing l have found when these emails do get past your spam filter is that if you hover over the email address even if it says account@paypal.co.uk etc is that if you hover over it, it will say janine@tiscali.co.uk etc. You can easily do this with email address on yahoo, thats one of the ways l know it is a scam email. What amazes me is the amount of people who get caught out having never passed their emails to said organizations in the first place!

If you skint l'd recommend one of these! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhwbxEfy7fg

I don't know if it is different with trains but l do know that return tickets are cheaper than 2 singles on buses so why would someone buy 2 singles to save money?
