That looks wicked might buy one of them when l go for my shotty license No chance of that when there are council houses, a school, a road and the owners house on 3 sides of the permission so can't be having no "friendly fire" incidents lol

Only reason l mentioned it wireviz is cos the link sent me to my profile page and would also have sent John Robbos when he clicked on it to his hence why we are only seeing our own videos on our own profiles instead of lm assuming yours lol cheers Callum

Globle rifle snipersystem light

Crap lads, Wish l hadn't had my 2 month break from the forum now but encase anyone is searching for the Tiablo A10G it was much cheaper here when l bought it + an extra battery compartment last year. This set me back £104 plus free delivery from Canada and took less than a week to arrive. Admittedly l bought the anti spill tube and the remote switch from innovatech at a cost of £50 and bought the Cluson Gun Mount Quick Release scope attachment for £35 from Allcocks which is much better in my view than the scope attachment supplied with the innovatech kit. All in all by shopping around it cam -
I have been on the permission a few times now and I'm learning more about it every time I'm on it. The first goose was shot after l had used an old perimeter wall that l did not know existed before to crawl behind to get a decent angle in which to take a safe shot at it. I think going there in daylight and setting up markers as you said is the best way to go but l think instead of a hide l will mark out some shooting spots, two of which l have already identified from the two locations the geese were in shot in. This really is a new experience for me this croft as lm more confident on wide open

That video was awesome but fortunately they're not quiet at these proportions yet but they will be in the next few years if something isn't done about them. The Scottish environment minister who l have heard is ex lacs has set-up a goose scaring scheme to scare them from place to place which just doesn't address the problem but avoids it. The ground is also pretty boggy so not only would there be a good chance of the hide filling up with water but l'd also be running the risk of getting bored through lack of action . But the video has made me think that a shotgun might be the way to go wit

Don't know if you realized this but that link sends you to your own YouTube profile page. cheers Callum

Only problem there mate is that geese are like crows in that they keep a sentry bird and fly off at the first sign of danger so a high seat wouldn't be very practical as there are no trees to camouflage it and l doubt a hide would work either cos we get storms nearly once a week thus l couldn't leave it out for the geese to get used to without it blowing away beforehand. Thanks for the idea though. cheers Callum

I have just got myself some permission on ground that in my opinion is pretty difficult to shoot on. The main quarry is geese and they are never off the ground. Trouble is the ground consists of a single hill and it is surrounded on 3 sides by council houses, a school, a main road and the owners house. I have so far taken two geese from this ground but l have to admit l am not too keen shooting on the ground as it is pretty difficult finding a location where l can take a safe shot without being seen by my quarry as well as the fact the the ground is still unfamiliar to me. What do you guys

Anyone got some trout / salmon pics l can use
mangy1983 posted a topic in Fresh & Salt Water Fishing
Hi guys never posted in this section before so here goes. For the last three months l have been developing a website for a local angling association and was using photos from the previous website. Unfortunately the developer of the previous website has taken the huff and said that the photographs were copyrighted (I thought they were the associations who hired me) so l had to take the photos down. I only need a few photos of salmon / sea trout / brown trout if anyone would be so kind enough to let me use them so that l can put them up onto the demo website as it looks better with photos. My w -
I was just speaking to my old man and a few of his mates who are all weavers for Harris Tweed etc and they were all talking about the prices of parts for their looms and believe you me if you have ever seen the double width loom manufactured by Griffiths textiles you will know what l mean. The above loom cost (new) £16,000 and parts that look like they cost about £10 to make cost upto £400 etc but there are no other companies making these parts. One of my fathers friends also stated that the original company who created these parts have stopped paying the copyright on their parts.

She is a good girlfriend, She knew the worry l was going through with it. Hardly slept a wink Sunday night... cheers Callum

Thanks for the info will setup up like this for next year. I have seen signs on the mooring rope that clips onto the boat that the boat had been spinning round over the years between the two currents. Just hope that it is not a quick thing as l really don't fancy another day like yesterday between now and Saturday. cheers Callum
-
thanks l never thought of a second mooring. My main mooring is the type with a loop rope, l call it the never ending rope lol for pulling her in. Would it be the same principle with the second mooring. This has never happened in the last 2 years so hoping it is a one off but its pretty nuts having 40+ mph winds for 2 weeks cheers Callum

My problem was my boat sank at moorings sometime early Sunday morning and we spent a good few hours yesterday pulling her in with a hand winch. Now the bay she is moored in has a river outlet at its innermost part and it is very steep sided at the sides. She sank a few weeks ago as well but that was entirely my fault as l wasn't baling her but this time I am not too sure. The reason for the topic was that my father and l managed to haul her up the steep left hand side at the high tide mark yesterday and then my girlfriend and l went down at 12am last night to bale the little water that was le

I managed to get a code and modify it a wee bit from the bits l understood to echo out the attachment. I'm guessing l have to use preg replace to filter the info l need. I know how to filter letters out but never done letters + certain numbers and throw the rest into an array. Hmmm fix one problem and the next one comes along. Any tips. thanks Callum Here my code so far for anyone interested: <?php $mbox = imap_open("{mail.*******.co.uk:143/notls}INBOX", "creedlevel@*********.co.uk", "*********"); //connects to mailbox on your server $headers = imap_headers($mbo

My previous php topic might be of help to you in that regard. I had the data saved to my own database instead of screen scraping the weather forecasts website every time the page was loaded up and l must say l loved the end result. You can view it here http://www.syaa.co.uk/Fishing_Location/index.php?Location=The_River_Creed cheers Callum

Neither had l mate, till this problem came up. I would have screen scraped the info from their website which they don't mind but the data is calculated and output in a flaming png image so my options were either an image reader or they send me emails and l read the attachments. The script above was ready to work if the data was directly in the email itself (as I hoped) as l could have just used regex to filter out the unneeded data plus l thought it would be just one result per email. Then l was planning to save it in my own database and output it on the website in a similar graph,

Ok mate l am developing a website for a local angling club and l have been in touch with SEPA who will send me an automated email 3 times a day of the current water levels of a river they run which if l can get a script to echo out the attachments readings l will then run it about the same times that the emails are sent using a cron job. Below is the code l got off the net the day (the best one out of all the ones l tried) and below that is the example attachment l was sent by SEPA. <?php $mailbox = imap_open("{mail.syaa.co.uk:143/notls}INBOX", "creedlevel@syaa.co.uk", "Cr33dL3v3

Thanks mate will have a look for it. I love php when it goes right and you know what you are doing but since the amount of options and functions etc are nearly finite it is very frustrating when you don't have a clue what you are doing... thanks Callum

I hate to ask but after having spent nearly all day scouring Google for help on this and after trying numerous scripts unsuccessfully and reading up on imap functions but still getting nowhere as well as frying my brain l have had to accept defeat unless anyone of the many gifted coders here can help me out with a script they might have written or use. many thanks Callum
