  1. I think you'll find that it was Lord Burns and his fellow inquiry committee members. Appointed by Jack Straw in Dec1999. If you care to do some research the inquiries remitted only covered Hunting with Dogs and fishing was not part of that remit. As to what the future hold I have no idea I am neither physic nor a practitioner of Tarot cards. I suggest that if you can predict the future we share the next lottery roll over numbers. It was not simply I or the anti hunting organisations that decided that coursing deer was a bad apple activity. I refuse to give it any form of credence by grant
  2. That's a nice looking rifle, Callum. Do you use it without a mod? If so, how do you find it, noise and recoil wise? Never had the pleasure of shooting it Kenny. I haven't had a job since college ended at the end of May which was also when l acquired the rifle so haven't been able to buy moderator, decent scope etc. though on the job front its not through lack of trying. First thing l will do when l get a job will be to get this rifle kitted up and have a day out with it although with all this waiting it takes the patience of a saint. cheers Callum
  3. I bought my .270 cal customized Mauser k98 rebarelled in .270 before l even had my license sent back in for a variation. It was one of the guns you instantly fall in love with and gotta have. I was told it was an Obendorf Mauser from 1934. cheers Callum
  4. Am l the only one who can't see the pictures cos l can see the attachments inside the html code when replying just now? cheers Callum
  5. Doh when you said "switched off and switched on again" l thought you meant the computer not the browser so was thinking that if it was still running after a restart that it was a virus. cheers Callum
  6. Did you buy one of these laptops that are cheaper if you are made to watch a certain amount of adverts per day? Otherwise it sounds like a virus that is automatically loading up these websites. What exactly are the websites that are loading up? cheers Callum
  7. First thing l always do when l purchase a laptop or am given a laptop to repair is to partition the hard disk into separate drives eg C: drive D: drive etc. so that no matter what happens on the operating system drive all the personal files are safely saved on a separate partition so that worst case scenarios of having to format and reinstall windows do not have any impact on a persons personal files. Of course if the hard drive goes up the duff nothing but a specialist job can retrieve your files. cheers Callum

  12. In the days when sellers could leave negative feedback to buyers l had a bad experience from a seller called "pcwhizzkid" or something similar. This guy was selling an item he didn't even have, a canon printer. After a week of the printer not arriving l emailed him for an explanation and he told me he was having trouble sourcing one for the price l had bought mine for. After that l sent him an email once or twice a week up until just before the paypal claim limit and all emails were ignored. I opened a claim with paypal and left the seller negative feedback to which he very quickly left me

  17. To my brave fellow islanders who gave their lives to ensure our freedom in both world wars. Also my 181 + fellow islanders and crew of the Iolaire who saw the first world war through safely only to drown at their own doorstep on the 1st January 1919 with the main towns harbour lights in sight were family and friends were waiting for them. She struck the beasts of Holm which are only 25 yards from the shore but as it was pitch black and the menfolk still in their heavy uniform and boots 70% + of them drowned and there was not a single household untouched by the tragedy. More can be read
  18. Gonna chuck it tomorrow in the croft see if l can entice some crows to shoot but if the buzzards beat them to it l'll watch them instead. I love watching them soaring above the house. Thanks for the replies guys, their much appreciated cheers Callum

  20. Might be of more help if you can answer these questions: When did the problem start and have you have made any changes to your computer lately? Problems like this might occur because of using cookies that are out of date etc so its possible that a site update or a browser update is causing the problem. I know l got prompted to download firefox 8 yesterday but l ignored the prompt. cheers Callum
  21. Possibly mate, Think l'll leave it to the buzzards don't wanna take the risk of eating it myself. cheers Callum
  22. I don't think so matt as lm the only one who shoots the area thanks Callum
  23. Shot a rabbit yesterday with the growth pictured below on its belly. Its hard like a scab but not sure what it is. I searched the forum using the words "rabbit" + "growth" but nothing came up plus l googled it and all the results were to do with pet rabbits. Anyone know what it is and more importantly is the rabbit edible? thanks Callum
  24. On reading this article it does make you think. What do you guys think of it? cheers Callum
